Santa Clarita Diet is fucking hilarious, and now I’m bummed I have to wait a year or more for season 3. Binged the first two seasons last week.

Olyphant and Barrymore play off of each other very well, and the writers did a phenomenal job of building the show’s humor. So many good one-liners and so much situational humor.

Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Good to know. We just started that last night. We watched the first 2 episodes. We've liked it quite a bit so far. Probably try and watch a few more episodes this evening.

I started watching season 1 and I couldn’t finish it. Drew Barrymore is awful. I haven’t liked her since the Wedding Singer.

She’s the “weak link,” but I overcome my general annoyance with her by focusing on how good Opyphant is as the distraught husband. I also think the neighbor kid is really good, and the daughter is pretty good for the most part as well.

There’s a lot of good to mask Berrymore’s style, and I thought the writers did a good job with her and Olyphant’s relationship.

Anyone happen to catch Jeremy Wade's new show on Animal Planet last night, Mighty Rivers?

I'm watching it tonight. Don't have "River Monsters" expectations, but really liked that series and will give Jeremy Wade a shot anytime. Hoping it was good.

Hey Koon, big fan of your posts and also a Jeremy Wade fan.

I thought the Mighty Rivers premier was pretty good. I like how J. Wade tied in the local history and culture into it, and talked about the effects of recent events (and people) on the river. Of course Jeremy Wade ended the show with a fishing pole in his hand, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Glad he caught the beast, and hope the Ganges river has a better outlook in the future. Good to see that political people appear to have taken notice to his findings, as there were some new rules around polluting the river since the show came out.

Keep up the great posts. You are the IE GOAT.

I saw it, and actually liked it pretty well. I wrote a review somewhere earlier, but I did like the clear implication of the Paradox effecting Earth in multiple ways.

What connection did you see that was created with 10 Cloverfield Lane?

I didn't see anything direct, but I assumed their space travel drew attention to Earth, hence the end of 10 Cloverfield Lane.

More implied than anything I saw. Outside of them being in the bunker at one point. But essentially the Author/Scientist interviewing on the news spilled the whole thing when he made a quote about ripping Time/Space referring to demons and monsters etc right at the start.

Just watched the first two episodes of Lost in Space. It has the feel of a $200M feature flick. So far, fantastic.

Big fan of Molly Parker's but missing her Jackie Sharp pencil skirts from House of Cards.

Going to start Lost in Space after I finish up Bosch (on Amazon). Loving season 4 and almost done. My buddy is halfway into to Lost in Space as well and said it's surpassing his expectations by a bunch (he's not a science fiction guy). Let me know your thoughts if you finish it this week (or whenever).

I thought Rectify was brilliant. Beautifully written, casted, and acted. Character depth and story were top shelf. Definitely in my top 10 over the last 5-10 years.

Exactly. No cartoony characters, great character development/depth and I still haven't figured out the end. They've done a great job of putting the audience in the mindset of their characters.

I've actually had tears streaming down my face on a few occasions. The writers really captured humanity in it's beauty and decay. Almost finished with the 2nd season.

My chickie doesn't care for Bosch, fortunately she travels on Tuesday/Wednesday so me and Hieronymus will have our binge-a-thon then.

As for LIS - low level spoiler alert depending on how sensitive you are to spoilers

I'm on episode 7, still extremely impressed with the production but the story line for me has devolved into Lost meets Walking Dead in space. It's the typical...handful of remaining humans posing more danger to themselves than the aliens, monsters, catastrophe they are up against plot.

Hopefully they ditch the dysfunctional human colonists and follow the original series' format.

One other problem I have: Not buying Parker Posey a Dr. Smith. They should have paid Christoph Waltz anything he wanted. He was born for the part.

Back up plan would have been whoever agreed first... Willem Dafoe or Steve Buscemi.

It is indeed an emotional gut punch at times. It's one of the shows you just need to kick back, relax, and breathe it in. A pal of mine started watching it, and gave up after a few episodes. He's an action guy. His girl made him sit down and continue and he became a huge fan. He called me just about every week the next day to discuss.

Will finish Bosch soon. Might have to give an episode or two of LIS a spin today. Rainy day here in ATL so doing some spring cleaning.

Sunday night is my TV night. Billions (best show on TV IMO), TWD finale, FTWD premier (can't wait to see the cast shake up), Homeland (not near as good since they lost Lewis, but still worth it), and Here and Now finale (good off the beaten path show from HBO)..... So might not get to LIS unless I can spring clean at the same time.

I'm trying to hold off on Billions until after all are released. I'd prefer to binge it... and I agree, Billions took over the top spot from House of Cards when it came out.

Similar to GoT, no way in hell I could wait for Billions to finish the season lol. I normally binge the previous season of a few great shows when they come out to get myself jazzed up and ready.

I still haven't watched HoCs. It's like #1 on my list, but for some reason I just haven't kicked it off. I was suppose to watch it over the last couple Christmas breaks...

Watching LIS now while I clean out the fridge and cabinets. Spring cleaning!! Pretty decent, especially the production quality. I'm with you on Parker Posey. She's doing a pretty good job, but they could have taken the show to another level with someone else. Dafoe and Buscemi would have been phenomenal.

Huge fan of Toby Stephens from Black Sails. Great series. Not a huge fan of Molly Parker, but she's doing fine. The kids are all great. Overall the cast is not incredible, but very solid. The 1998 movie had definite hot chick bonus points. This series, not so much though.

I'm through episode 8 and it's time to mow the lawn before it gets too hot. Episode 8 picked back up to the beginning's level. Posey and her character have upped their games and gone from nuisance to super-villain.

I think Molly Parker nails this part.

Using this as a catch all for any TV related questions, but I’m in a predicament when it comes to the BG game this Saturday.

If you’ve seen my posts about cord cutting, I’m a huge advocate for Directv Now. The big downfall is finally going to bite me this weekend though, as I’m moving Saturday into our new home, and they do not have DVR yet. FYI – Directv Now does have NBCSN – there’s my small plug for Directv Now.

Anyone know of a clever way to watch the game after the fact? Any secrets to getting into NBCSN? I’m poking around and have not found anything so far

It will most likely be available on the NBCSports App either on-demand, at scheduled rerun times or both.

I think ND usually puts the full B&G game on Youtube each year.

If not ND, someone else will for sure. ND games are pretty easy to find in their entirety on Youtube, particularly in condensed version that eliminate commercials and time between plays.

So Lion, we finished Santa Clarita Diet. Both my wife and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Looking forward to next season. That last episode, especially the ending was pretty hilarious.

I thought Lost in Space finished very strong and sets up S2 perfectly.

I'm 3 episodes into Bosch S4. Love the feel of this show, plus the picture is like you can walk into the screen. It's mostly shot in 4K instead of being remastered. Some of it is even shot in 5k.

The wife and I just finished up the first season of Bloodline and love it.

I am worried about the fact that it only made it to 3 seasons. Without spoilers did it at least end well (no cliff hangers)?
