AS some one mentioned previously...we parsed the numbers, came to realizations...and some rationalizations...we cursed...we got angry...and the justification for #1 turns out to be 11-0, and to keep it, 12-0.

Sagarin's 11/17/12 rankings are out, ND is #1 in BCS, #4 in Predictor.

Sagarin's Predictor has ND a 2.5 favorite over Southern Cal in L.A. Sagarin's ranking don't consider injuries.

From ITI and make no mistake, Kieth woke up in a bad mood this morning and I'm not sure why. Perhaps too much exposure to ESPN.

Make no mistake, Notre Dame absolutely deserves to be the No. 1 team in the country. But this system deserves to be thrown in the recycling bin, a relic of yesteryear that is so outdated you’d look better pulling out a fax machine to check your Twitter feed at the sports bar.
The pollsters and the computers that determine who plays for the national championship have been over-matched for years. But watching Kansas State, a team that was considered the most battle-tested in the country lose by four touchdowns to a sub-.500 team, is just another notch in the belt of those that have forever screamed that the pollsters don’t know anything. Bill Snyder’s team losing isn’t another example of the SI cover jinx. It’s a fraud revealed. It’s college football’s Darwinism thankfully doing what pollsters weren’t capable of.

I just really love seeing ND at #1 and knowing that this week the rest of the BCS equation will bear that out is even better.

Boy do I wish Ohio State was eligible. Of all the teams I would want ND to play in the Championship...

The situation hasn't changed. We still need to win out. The team just needs to stay focused while I post lyrics to Miami by Will Smith all over social media and blogs.

I think we would absolutely roll tOSU, this year. Their defense is not stellar, and Braxton Miller is practically their whole offense.

After a humiliating loss like that for Kansas St. they think they will still be that high?

Billingsley has them at #2 but keep in mind the BCS computers ignore Margin Of Victory. KSU simply has 1 loss. Eliminating MOV was P.C. So as not to reward coaches from running up the score over cupcakes. Unfortunately it reduces the exposure of highly ranked teams that quit. KSU scored on there first possession of the second half to answer a BU score. But when BU answered back with a flurry of scores the KSU juggernaut ran out of steam. They were shutout for the last 27 minutes of the game.

Last night I said KSU would fall to 6 or 7 due to voter's "slotting". Based on their performance against BU I would vote them out of the Top 10. They have a win over OU but that's it.

Interesting that coaches have UGA ahead of Bama.

Also, if there is any one team that should learn a lesson about out-of-conference scheduling, it has to be Florida State. They're #4 in the coaches poll and #4 in the Harris Poll, but #8 in the BCS rankings. They need to start playing some real teams from other conferences and/or get out of the ACC.

Bama and Georgia got first place votes. W T F.

ND has ALL SIXTY FIRST PLACE VOTES IN THE AP POLL :)

But to actually think that ALL the coaches would vote ND #1 is a bit much.

You KNOW that Spurrier will never do that, so that is one vote. But getting 56 out of 59 is nice. Not sure how the hell UGA got a vote though.

ESPN's page is "On SECond Thought: The SEC, the league almost everybody loves to hate, is poised to take center stage in January. Again."

True but can Richt honestly think that a team that lost by 33 to SCAR is #1??

WTF?
You don't know Bulldogs haha...their whole fanbase believes they are #1 and even being down by 35 to USCe and then losing by 28 doesn't deter that belief. They have selective amnesia and all they can really remember is steamrolling through the Murderer's Row of Ole Miss, Auburn, and the mighty juggernaut Georgia Southern Golden Eagles.
