Lol you know shit. I know you’re an argumentative jerkoff, but if you can’t understand what’s going on you should stop commenting. We ran a lot less plays than our average. That opening drive of the 2nd half cost us 1, possibly 2 possessions. We averaged over 8 yards a play. Now add in the red zone fumble, missed field goal, and 3 missed PAT. Kind of changes the look of the game, no? I know you’re just a banned reboot, so kindly STFU. How’s that for context jerkoff.
There are a few low-maturity posters here with respectable football IQs. I'm sorry to say you're not one of them. In terms of argumentativeness, I notice nothing in your response addresses the topic of rhythm, but if you enjoy tagging others with random commentary, knock yourself out.

Postgame Thoughts:
1. I'll take a fugly win vs. a loss
2. Any ND soccer player's who aren't playing want to walk on a kicker?
3. Instead of winning by 15, double that we should've won by 30
4. Defensive stats were impressive: 3 turnovers, 5 sacks, & 9 tackles for loss
5. Fields/Pauling continue to impress I wish they were more than a 1 year rental
6. 1-2 punch of plays, Adon Shuler woke up the team and 94 yard Love run knocked BC out
7. Our defense has a lot of young talent

Keep going 1-0 each week.

Go Irish ☘️

Absolutely. And I agree. I’m not upset at them only allowing 10 points, that’s outstanding. I’m disappointed at the time of possession and the limited number of plays it allowed the offense to run and develop a plan. I think lax posted that we’ve been in the 70s and yesterday was in the 50s. That was my issue.
That just happens when one offense needs to dink and dunk and use four downs to get ten yards and the other is picking up 40-90 yard chunks on half their drives.

If I recall correctly, we tried something similar against Ohio State in the NCG last year. It’s a solid approach for an outgunned team.

Re: rhythm I see absolutely no evidence that our offense wasn’t able to perform when it had the ball.

In fact, our best drives came after their longest drives.

Our offense performed just fine yesterday. Seemed like most of the time they could do anything they wanted until they ended up in short yardage situations or inside the red zone…finishing drives and short yardage need to continue to be points of emphasis.

my biggest pet peeve in this game...if we have 2 of the best RBS in the game..why, oh why didn't we bounce runs outside with our advantage in talent and speed?

Whatever cuck. Keep on keeping on. I’ll be in the Joyce lot next week btw. DM me, I’ll buy you a beer and you can teach me football.

I couldn't believe I was saying this myself, but I think on one of the 4th down carries Price ran between the tackles and there was a load of green to the outside. Last year he would have definitely bounced it outside and maybe picks up the 1st, instead the defense loaded the box and we got stuffed. "This was one time Price should have actually bounced it outside like he did last year."

Do they happen to IU? The in-state team that is less talented on paper but much better on the field?
I was going to make all of the following points but I'd rather just quote my esteemed colleagues

The team that beat Old Dominion by less than we just beat BC? That team?
It did last year when ND kicked their teeth in.
You mean like when they won by 13 against Old Dominion?

Or how about by 5 over Iowa?
I'll also add: on a Saturday that saw top 10 Miami and GT go down to lesser opponents (one of whom we soundly beat at home ourselves), saw a top 25 scUM team struggle mightily with Purdue....one of those weeks where you survive and advance.

To quote another IE member: "relax, bedwetter." (long time reader/rep provider, first time quoter @irishu)

ND needs to learn and get better from this, but when it comes down to it, a two TD victory in a soup sandwich game like that isn't the worst outcome. Just ask Miami.

Even the Mrs. said something about the BC slant. She got so pissed at the refs during the phantom facemask call she got up and went out to the garage. After the interception , she came back in to get a drink and I told her of the INT, to which she said she better stay in the garage for luck. Goes back out and Love takes it to the house. Comes back in a little later and I tell her Love broke a 94 yard TD. I told her I was contemplating locking the garage door until the end of the game.

Something tells me if this was Al Golden’s defense you’d be singing a different tune
Have you seen Goldens league worst D lately? Looks like his college D skills don’t translate to the NFL.

He was outright praising and borderline celebrating 2 yard gains on running plays at one point…
Well those two yard gains were on third and ones repeatedly and we haven’t stopped one this season.

Agreed and I get it. We are about to play the ultimate time killers with Navy with a front 7 who have not stopped a third or 4th and short yet. It’s not a good sign for a team with playoff aspirations especially against a bunch of one win losers. Even if we win 42-10 like we should have holding the ball that long is something that concerns me. We have not been able to get off the field enough on third downs.

I'm an Adon fan, but what a weird-ass obsession from ND coaches/media/fans. I spent some time in NJ as a kid. The kids are not any tougher there. And why the three-period, all-caps toughness boast for catching a football?
It's a quote from Chris Fowler. You're soft.
