I certainly don't expect them to have a decision by now. I'm not stupid and I'm very clear on how these things are dealt with.

What I was trying to say is that the other two guys and their fate has been discussed extensively by the media. If the QB of the #2 team did something really wrong then we would have heard about it.

I was just responding to your statement that the B1G should take action. Nothing more, nothing less.

You're going to be suspending a lot a players then, man, Pushing and shoving and pulling happens. You flag or nothing. Suspensions are a big deal and should be left for major infractions like punching and kicking and such.

Btw, wasn't "old school" less sportsmanlike than it is now or am I just too young and only seeing the bad replays. I seem to recall a lot of games from the 80s that involve blatant late hits and extracurricular activities

I think that Miller's participation is worthy of missing a game. He came off of the bench, and fairly early on in the process, he grabbed a guy by the facemask and threw him to the ground. If you come off the bench and throw a guy down by his facemask, then you should have to sit out some time. What amount of time is appropriate is not my bailiwick, but I wouldn't feel sorry for him if the B1G suspended him for an entire game. And those who were ejected should certainly be sitting for an entire half, at the very minimum. But I heard, on the broadcast, that they will not have to sit out the next game automatically because they were ejected in the first half.

I have to pull for Ohio State. A national championship game with zero teams from the SEC would just be amazing. FSU would destroy them anyway.

Besides, if OSU & Auburn both lose on Saturday then Bama's already back into the title game. I highly doubt Mizzou would jump them.

How the hell could a conference champ be kept out by a team in their own conference?? No matter who wins the SEC game they should be in over Bama... Here's the thing though... FSU and tOSU both lose... Yet another all SEC game?? OSU (OkSU) would be denied again like 2011 in favor of all SEC...? Something tells me the human element may come into play more deliberately than in the past...

Also what about MSU plowing tOSU, do they jump that high??

If OSU, Auburn, and FSU all lose...

It will be a complete cluster****.

It really comes down to the FSU game, if they win, they play OSU, or the SEC winner if OSU loses,... The assuming the SEC champ is gold thing is flat stupid btw... But it is what it is.

Duke beating FSU would cause a meltdown.

I'm not convinced Auburn doesn't jump Ohio State, if Aubbie beats Mizzou badly and Ohio State only wins narrowly (but that may be wishful thinking).

The wildcard is the coach's poll. Dantonio already voted OSU #1 like an idiot. ACC and SEC coaches get pissed, and in your scenario, I can see Auburn getting voted ahead. Wouldn't bother me at all to be honest.

Have you seen a future line on FSU/OSU? I would assume something like FSU -10.

Why is having one of two unbeaten teams your number 1 an 'idiot' move???

I have seen talk of who you want to win, but who do you think will win.

MSU's only loss was us and it was close. They won all their B1G games by double digits which I heard was a record. All this as they spent the season developing from a nightmare offense to a serviceable one and the D has been #1 all year. As long as they don't revert back to Sparty being Sparty from years past I honestly think MSU pulls out a close win. As someone posted above, OSU has a good offense but D isn't real special. So strength vs strength and weakness vs weakness. Plus the Buckeyes will not have been hit this hard all year.

IF this scenario actually comes about, it will be AT LEAST 14 points before kickoff if Winston is free and clear.

If FSU/OSU happens, it will be the 2nd straight year we watch a blowout in the championship.

NCAAF Big Ten won't suspend Marcus Hall - ESPN

Of course...need to make sure that OSU has every possible chance to beat MSU and get a B1G team in the NC game to try to puff up a struggling conference.

And it shouldn't even come down to the conference suspending him or not. Action on that has to be done immediately in house. Urban should have suspended him immediately after watching the tape. The guy got tossed for fighting, ok fine that's understandable. He then proceeded to throw a hissy fit on the sideline throwing things and smashing his helmet. While leaving the stadium he is flipping the bird to the fans while yelling "Fuck Blue." C'mon that is a no brainer suspension by any coach with a shred of morality or dignity.

That sort of lax attitude toward discipline is what created divisions within his Gator teams, got him a reputation as a scumbag, and eventually led to the demise of a very talented and prestigious program. He will do the same in Columbus give him time.

Just for a second, imagine if one of our players did this. I'm sitting here trying to think of a player that would do it, and it's almost impossible, LET ALONE the disciplinary action to said player by Notre Dame.

If an ND player did this...lead all sports stories for days...especially if ND did nothing to the player...sports talk radio and message boards would blaze for weeks and would come up again and again echoing into eternity.

Absolutely. But there is a zero percent chance that Jack or any coach at Notre Dame would tolerate this behavior. I'm trying to think what Corrigan would do if a lacrosse player got kicked out of a game for fighting and then gave a double bird to the stadium on national TV.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was cut before the bus ride home. I'm 100% sure he would've been disciplined harshly.

lol Corrigan and the red-haired coach would light that kid up. I wouldn't mess with either of them but that red-haired coach, hell no - you can feel rage emanating through those sunglasses haha

Ohio State vs. Michigan State: Big Ten Betting Odds Analysis and Prediction | Bleacher Report

For Ohio State, the road to the BCS championship goes through Indianapolis and the Michigan State Spartans. The Buckeyes opened as favorites to extend their 24-game win streak in the Big Ten Championship Game, but they face a stout defense and a team that bites very hard as an underdog.

Point spread: Ohio State opened as 5.5-point favorites in the Big Ten Championship Game odds menu; the total was 51.5 early in the week. (Line updates and matchup report)

Odds Shark computer prediction: 31-22 Ohio State

Why Ohio State can cover the spread

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer has yet to lose since taking over the Buckeyes, who have won 24 straight games, and with a win has a very good chance of landing in the BCS championship game. Throwing all in-game intangibles out of this one, understand that Meyer may be one of the two best game-preparation coaches in the nation.

And the Buckeyes have mastered the Spartans lately, winning eight of nine meetings, according to Odds Shark's college football database.

Why Michigan State can cover the spread

Michigan State boasts the nation's best defense, which is littered with future NFL draftees. And while everyone has been clamoring about Ohio State in this conference, ol' Sparty has been getting things done quietly and has been dominant in doing so. The Spartans defense has led them most of the way and isn't afraid of anyone.

MSU bettors know their team is 8-1-1 against the spread in 10 recent games as underdogs. They also know that the Buckeyes have won 24 straight, but they are just 14-10 ATS in that span.

Smart Pick

The rule of thumb in college football is to take the underdog if it has the better defense. The line Ohio State is laying is ridiculous, given this is a neutral field and Michigan State has a stalwart stop unit that has allowed more than 17 points just twice this season.

This is a game that could come down to who's holding the ball last. Take Michigan State.

Im gonna dump this opinion and then go study for an exam, so feel free to have at it until i can come back to defend...

Am I the only one who feels like the B1G is actually underrated relative to the other conferences this year?

MSU is obviously pretty good, Wisconsin lost a close one to OSU, beat ASU except for the refs, and had been improving until they shat the bed against Penn State for IMO mostly coaching-induced reasons (got away from their identity on both sides of the ball). Ohio State is on a 24-game winning streak. We all know how hard that is even if you call it a 20-game streak because of FCS.

That's not much worse than the top of the Big 12, is it? with similarly bad teams underneath.
