One reason I don't like watching boxing anymore. Can't blame the guys for the charade. Get your thousand bucks for showmanship, then get the hell out. The loser's head didn't even pop back nor turn in the direction of the hit.

That said, a well placed blow to the base of the nose, with even 50% of punchers force, can knock a guy out, or even kill him..

The same is true for your average deer. A sharp pop to the schnoz is my preferred technique when harvesting for a season of venison stew. Beats the hell out of biting into a pellet or five missed when dressing the carcass.
