Not sure if anyone has heard of this guy, Karl Bushby. I stumbled across this video and holy hell is this guy's story interesting. He's been walking across the world since 1998. He started in Chile and headed north thru South, Central and then North America. With the end goal of making it back home to England .Continued on foot thru the Arctic and crossed the Bering Strait. Eventually swam across the Caspian sea because of difficulty getting visas. It's absolutely wild.

In 2009, we went on a cool 3 month trip in SE Asia. On returning, I tried to convince the wife to fly to Patagonia and walk home to Chicago. No dice.
Here we are now, 16 years later with no homeb left the USA in March 24 and still roving. Though... not walking.
We now return you to your previously scheduled broadcast.

That's freaking awesome! Out of curiosity what made you do that?

Better than the ND ones I used to attend

In special effects, absolutely. The best pep rally I ever saw was the one before the Michigan game in 2012. That was after Manti lost his grandma (Forget the rest that happened with that) and everybody showed up with leis for that game. I want to say we had leis for the rally too. I'd take that one over any strobe inducing light show. It was perfect, so much emotion for Manti and then a ton of energy and great speakers. Lou was there, always great. There was the Shembo bike seat promo and the Troy Niklas WWE-esque promo about "learning to love the pain."

We took off the first time because the economy tanked and we were going out of biz fast, so just bailed for a bit and reset.
This time, it's more self-defense. It's actually cheaper to travel than live in the US, and we're missing all the current upheaval.

You're smarter than most. It's been something my wife and I have discussed as well

I'm a huge F-1 guy. Watch every single practice/Qualify/Sprint Race and Race. They don't race like they used to.
What’s changed? Because that clip was fricking amazing and I would watch that. All I hear or see about F1 now is that who ever qualifies 1st is going to finish the race in first. Though I have very little exposure to F1. I always was an Indy guy and when that all feel apart a couple decades ago I pretty much stopped watching. I despise NASCAR.

They still have some good racing don't get me wrong but the stewards are definitely a lot more strict with the rules and racing like that. They nail anyone (other than Max Verstappen) for going over the racing line etc etc.

It's almost as if Formula one has gone woke as well but that seems to be the trend with a lot of companies. Until they lose a bunch of money and go back to the normal side of things.

Too much is changing in sports especially in college football. Almost not even fun anymore. I liked college football up until NIL/Transfer portal bullshit.
