Sam Jackson is Nick Fury, a SHIELD agent. And like stated previous Ed Norton had issues.

Glad Hawkeye isn't getting his own movie. That would have been super weak.

This will be the 3rd biggest movie of 2012. Dark Knight Rises and the final Twilight movie will be the only films to outgross it....

All of the shots of the city scenes in the trailer (that are supposed to be NY i guess) were filmed in downtown Cleveland. I drove by the set every day on the way to school, and it's really cool to see the sets I saw actually in a movie.

I heard that explosion all the way from my school. I could see the smoke coming out of the city from my Theology class. Pretty cool, once we realized it was the set and not a real explosion,

Yea, I've never been a comic geek so I don't know squat about any of these characters. I wasn't ever a big fan of superhero movies either. Some aren't that bad though.

Is Ed Norton semi-retired now? He made some of the best movies to come out for about a solid four year run (~1998 (American History X) to 2002 (25th Hour)), but after that he really hasn't done much. The Italian Job and The Illusionist weren't terrible, but weren't epic, like Fight Club and others he did at his peak. I almost forgot about him and how awesome he is, honestly.

I think he has a Wes Anderson movie coming out, which could be AWESOME. But it could also not be great. Anderson has made some of my favorite movies (Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore, Fantastic Mr. Fox), but the Life Aquatic and the Darjeeling Limited were misses, IMO. Has anyone heard anything about the new Anderson/Norton movie? Called Moonrise Kingdom, I believe.

You need to watch The Life Aquatic again. Very underrated. Edward Norton will be in the next Wes film Moonrise Kingdom with Bruce Willis, Harvey Keitel and the usual suspects. We started working on some marketing ideas just before my time at Focus ended. Pretty disappointing.

As for the Marvel movies, in general have been pretty average. Part of that has to do with their insistence on having it be presented as 1 universe. It has rubbed a lot of Directors the wrong way. That is why Jon Favreu walked away from the Iron Man franchise and Sam Raimi left Spider-Man.
