Cam Newton is Herculean tonight. Dodging sacks left and right and throwing bullets.

21-7 Auburn, at the moment.

wow... and that is why you don't squib kick with time for a play left. Auburn is, barred none, the luckiest team in the nation this year.

That Hail Mary pass Newton just threw is going to be the turning point in the game. Completely killed any momentum SC had.

agreed... they aren't even that good of a team... yet it just feels like their year doesn't it?

They've caught every break humanly possible, but they're still a very good football team. The offense is phenomenal enough to carry them.

No they are not... the defense is not bad... but very average... the offense is good but not great and very far from phenomenal... special teams aren't very special...

they are an above average, but not great, football team that has three things going for them...

1.) A pretty bad SEC this year (especially by their standards)
2.) Luck (as you mentioned)
3.) and of course the big one... Cam Newton.

If Texas was a one man team with Vince Young then what the hell is Auburn??? on paper UT was one of the best teams in the country that year even without Young... this Auburn team????..... not even close

How is their offense not great when they average 41 ppg in the SEC?

SEC ain't the SEC anymore for one... second look at the schedule... any team with Cam Newton and ten warm bodies had better put up some points against that.

The SEC has more ranked teams than they did last year & this is probably the strongest year that the SEC West has ever had.

You haven't even given a reason as to why their offense isn't great other than saying "they have Cam Newton" which makes no sense.

The SEC West was not that good either... basically an average west fed off of a pretty poor east... overall a bunch of teams that play no one outside of the south and no one at all out of conference that is worth mentioning... spare me.

they have a phenomenal player... there is a very distinct difference when talking about the entire unit.

they have a decent front seven and a pretty poor secondary... they block well down field and do nothing else worth mentioning on either side of the ball that doesn't include the words Cam Newton... that is my point... honestly, as a whole they are not that great of a team... but they have this year's Tim Tebow... obviously in a watered down SEC that has been enough... and now they are one win away.

I don't know if Cam is the reason they have such a high scoring offense but Auburn has gained 5881 yards.

Cam alone accounts for 3590 yards, which is over 60% of their offense, which is a heck of alot for one person. He is the leading rusher on Auburn by 500yards.

Auburns 3 running backs average over 7 yards a carry collectively & Newton averages 10 yards per pass attempt(most in the country)in the select times they do decide to pass. The fact that they utilize Newton so much isn't out of necessity....it's because it would be foolish NOT to.
