Joanna is very comfortable with the ND community, and surrounding communities. ND feels like family to her and Marcus. Joanna, and Marcus have embraced everything about ND, and in turn, ND takes care of them, and is there for them at all times. Both Joanna, and Marcus understand that while ND wants to win very badly, this is about more than just football. The children love ND, and the surrounding communities. Joanna is very fond of the fact she can essentially show up at any time, whether alone, or with several/all of the children, and they more or less have full access to anything they want, or anywhere they want to go. Finally, she, and Marcus understand that ND, donors, and fans actually care about them as people. Joanna, and Marcus are very loyal.
Well now we finally know who you are!

He sometimes struggles to let go when it's clear he should. He's getting better about this, but it's still an issue on occasion.
This intrigues me. What are some things you wish he would've had an easier time letting go?

I've heard Freeman's wife absolutely does not want anything to do with Ohio State. I understand that the Day family, collectively, was treated pretty harshly in Columbus prior to their Playoff run. Inexcusable for a guy with three young kids if you ask me, but it's Ohio State...doesn't surprise me.
It's difficult for people to understand just how deep that strain of mutant runs in Columbus until you've been a part of that community.

He needs to start moving on from some types of recruits a bit faster.

When he wants a coach, he struggles to cut the cord when the situation is dragging to a point where it's simply more fruitful to move on to other candidates.

I would also prefer he not be so willing to allow coaches, and other employees as much time as he allows to find soft landing spots, as opposed to simply firing them.

My apologies for any grammatical errors. I'm trying to respond to a lot of people right now.

Also, did someone ask me about Katy?

Yeah someone said before she wasn’t liked and I was curious about that

Bua has largely covered the key points here.

Swarbrick's son played no real part in the negotiations.

Nike was indeed close on their offer, but UA offer more years, and a slight premium per year.

UA did give ND near full control of the direction, pacing, and tone of this agreement.

UA overextended themselves to make this contract happen.

UA agreed to be very involved with NIL.
None of this is surprising but seems like UA’s days are numbered as a true player in the apparel game. Hopefully, the NIL & control ND gets are worth it. I notice most, if not all; ND athletes opt for Nike once they are pros. I’m sure there’s some adidas sprinkled in there & Skylar Diggins has a Puma deal but UA just doesn’t have much of a presence at the pro level. To me that should tell ND what athletes think of it. Unless they’re getting a crazy deal from UA like Tom Brady, Bryce Harper or Steph Curry they just don’t rate.

I've been thinking quite a bit today:

It's substantially more enjoyable to interact with all of you, than it is to interact with most on 247. I'm considering moving my posts entirely over here, long-term.

You mentioned the Freemans are loyal.

Were loyalty and paying it forward really the reasons War Daddy was coming back as OC? In hindsight, do you believe Marcus would still bring him back?

Just realized i've been on this damn board for 15 years lmao. We must be doing something right on here.

Also my apologies to everyone who had to put up with my posts in 2010 when I was in 8th grade.

I joined in January 2012 because I wanted to post about how Davonte Neal was basically gonna be ND’s Mardy Gilyard.

That’s my bad, everyone.
