Player development is off the charts with this staff. Guys are getting better literally every week and every player is prepared for the moment when they get their chance. Even against the backups and backups backups they are making teams drive the field snd earn it. Offense improves weekly and is night and day from a couple weeks ago which was night and day from a couple weeks before that.
One of the big benefits of Freeman not being afraid to kill teams. Kelly would get a 10 point lead and start trying to run out the clock no matter what point in the game it was. Freeman pours it on and gets 2nd and 3rd stringers experience.

Have we ever had so many meaningful snaps for the backups? Serious question.

Leonard was really efficient throwing the ball tonight. I can only remember one bad throw and it was the miss in the end zone to Greathouse.

Love, Price and Williams all looked great and the RB room is stacked!!! With that said, if Love got 15-20 touches per game, I think he'd be in the finals for the Heismann. Dude is a freak athlete and has turned into an excellent RB.

Ausberry and Sneed played great games. Having great athletes at the LB spot made it really difficult for Army to get anything going outside.

ND tackled really well all game at all defensive positions.

Only complaint is the FG unit. But I don't necessarily put either of those on Jeter. Everyone knows that he's still injured and is limited...so I'm not sure why he was left out there on the 48 yard FG after the stupid penalty. The second one definitely wasn't his fault. It seemed like that could have been called a penalty on the guy that got the block.

But regardless, when we've got backups in the game in the 3rd quarter of a critical game against a ranked opponent, I'd say today was a DAMN good day!
Next year Is the Heisman run. Gotta win this year 1st, and make the world watch him.

Army may not win another game this season...ND ruined them.

KVA injury is worrisome

ND ran at will. Fun to watch. Goal line offense left a lot to be desired. I think MF wanted to make a statement but that played in to the one thing Army’s defense was good at.

When’s the last time ND didn’t punt in a game?

I don’t know is Jeter’s injury has affected his mental state or if he’s truly being run out there w/ a nagging injury but they may need to just stick to XP for now. His first kick never had a chance. His second was inside 40 yards so why was it kicked so low that it got blocked or did the OL truly allow a bust?

Overall, great win. I’m hoping it’s not the last “comfortable” win but SC is never easy. Before advancing to the CFP in 2018, ND struggled scoring against an SC defense that had walk-ons in their starting lineup. Take nothing for granted. Do them like they did ND in 2016.

Let’s nitpick some negatives:
1. Our short yardage run game seems weirdly bad. Why don’t we QB sneak?

2. Kicking game is cheeks.

3. DBs with stone hands dropping interceptions.

With that out of the way… to be honest, I do not understand how Penn State is ranked ahead of us. We are playing better football than anyone. Would love the #5 seed because it’s a much easier path, but regardless just focus on taking care of business against USC.
Couldn’t have said it better. I hate to see an easy int dropped only to end up in a garbage TD. Get your shit together man! Kickers are all Ass! Better kickers and punters on probably 50+ teams. Pathetic. Are these guys on scholarships?!
Watching usc ucla game. We should be able to beat usc handily. Should be many long runs for us. Push them around like we usually do. Just don’t want Lincoln Riley to get canned. They can’t help but get someone better. Guy sucks and I think they can technically can him without paying him out given the ncaa violations under his watch.

Are there any kickers in the portal right now. If he's that mentally soft he doesn't need to be in a playoff environment
If he's still injured he doesn't need to be out there. This could be what bites us in the ass before it's over. At least his last two pat's were strong.

When was the last time we had PKs this bad if ever? Samson under Bob Davie or Lou Holtz last kicker? That guy cost us the last usc game under Lou. Please tell me we have 3 kickers and a shitty punter on scholarships?!

Unfortunately I believe the SEC runner up gets 5. Big10 runner up gets 6 and we get 7. But 5 is a good place to be.

B1G runner up probably gets the 5 unless Oregon stomps OSU. Or Michigan pulls off the miracle next week and Oregon beats PSU. I don't see it with the SEC runner up though. Assuming Texas wins whoever they beat will already be behind us and at that point have 3 losses.

Irish looked solid! I could go the rest of my life without listening to Blackledge call another ND game, he is absolutely unbearable! Almost makes me miss Flutie…almost!

This team is fast, physical, and punishing. I absolutely love it.

With so many playoff-potential teams going down yesterday, I have no complaints about getting a three score win on the road against a ranked opponent. Great win.

The FG thing is obviously extremely concerning, but he even had back to back EP’s that were almost missed.
