Me niether. I think if you have the best reord you earned home field but it was a good game. The MLB All Star game is by far the best All Star game. Great throw by Byrd

As much fun as it is to pick on fat ass that was a heads up play that not a lot of players woulda made.

My guess is A-Rod and Girardi had a talk before hand and he'd only go in for an emergency situation. I think A-Rod is still hurting and they didn't want to risk him getting hurt worse. I'll take a healthy A-Rod over homefield advantage.

i read an article that said if big papi would have made it to second that arod was going in to run for him. it also said that arod said he was ready to go in but said he understood and there was no problem.

I know its just an all star game....but why was Big Papi still on the bases that late in the game to begin with? I was thinking for sure that they were going to pinch-run for him...before he out gunned at 2nd.

They only had 1 bench player left. Thats the thing that sucks about the all star game they want it to count, but yet the managers have 30 guys they all have to try and get in. Shorten the roster to help give the game more meaning.
