I was watching the 2008 WSOP tonight. Happy for me?
Anyways, I enjoy watching poker, and I enjoy the characters of the game. I always thought that Scotty Nguyen was an entertaining fellow, but he was an absolute d**k at the HORSE event final table. He was giving a 23-year old player grief for getting excited about winning a few pots, and then proceeded to be a complete poor sport and profane, unintelligible drunk at the table the rest of the way.
I understand the theatrics and mind games that poker players use to gain advantage on the competition, but this was an example of a sad alcoholic that was out of line. Unfortunately, he was actually rewarded by winning a $2M prize and a trophy named after a recently deceased, classy poker pro in Chip Reese. This was an event that had a lot of emotional meaning to the poker community, and this beer-guzzling jerk made a mockery of his legacy.
Scotty Nguyen. The CLOWN prince of poker. Congratulations on your bracelet, baby.
