I will miss Al Golden whenever he leaves. Obviously, because I think he is one of, if not, the best DCs in the country. But mostly, I think he is just an incredible person, and that is irreplaceable.

I liked the hire at the time. Not because I thought he'd be anywhere near this great, but because he had head coaching experience and was hoping he could help Freeman with the growing pains.

We're truly blessed to have him here.

He's the ultimate team guy. No one gets thrown under the bus and the bad plays are all on him (even if they really aren't). He's a big part of what MFMF wants as a culture (old school hard nose football) which he and Freeman said many times "Team glory before personal glory". It's endearing.
