I was skeptical of the hire. Didn't bemoan it or soil a pair of shorts, but I had questions.

I have no questions at this time. Alfred James Golden Jr. The man.

I liked the hire at the time. Not because I thought he'd be anywhere near this great, but because he had head coaching experience and was hoping he could help Freeman with the growing pains.

We're truly blessed to have him here.

I believe that just the film of what Golden can do and what that supernatural defensive backfield can do, completely flummoxed (I'd even say "scared") the Indiana offensive planners. Until we got tired and dinged up, Indiana looked terrified to try almost anything. (rightfully so.)

Great man and hope he sticks around for a long while! Would love to play for a man that always has your back!

He's the ultimate team guy. No one gets thrown under the bus and the bad plays are all on him (even if they really aren't). He's a big part of what MFMF wants as a culture (old school hard nose football) which he and Freeman said many times "Team glory before personal glory". It's endearing.

This guy deserves a lifetime contract.... just insane. As a Bills fan, I thought I saw the height of bend dont break mentality, but Jesus fing Christ, Al Golden decides to shut shit down on a moments whim...

Golden once he's becoming bored....1000009765.gif

He’d be taking a rather decent pay cut I would think if he left. I think the extension got this solidified

Hypothetically if Golden does leave to the NFL: would you rather they bring in an experienced top D coordinator or take a swing with Mickens as a first time DC based on what he’s done with the DB’s?

May not matter if NFL is what he wants or prefers.

Eh. Job is closer to NFL than what it was when he took the job. He’s not really a “NFL lifer” or anything it’s just a location thing with Cinci

You 100% promote Mickens
