She’s more than companionship. It’s a story now because he has essentially made her part of the program.
I am not sure which gold digger is worse, her or the son who is reportedly written into BB's contract as the coach in waiting.
Both seem to be vultures circling the story of his past successes.

I mean, I guess, but isn't it his perogative to do so? My wife is involved heavily in our program (team Mom, team dinner organizer, countless administrative duties, etc, etc) coaching is a super time intensive job. If you have an opportunity to incorporate your life partner instead of tons of time apart, and doing so doesn't hurt your program, I say good for you.

It’s his prerogative to do so yes. It’s also UNC’s prerogative to take issue with it

In the end he coaches college kids now and there’s a decent chance she’s a pseudo-prostitute

I guess. If they have an issue with it, it is their right to do so. Personally, I don't think her interrupting an interview is a story. I think it would be a football related story if NC went a different direction and they were looking for a new coach. Other than that, I don't see this being about football and just meddling in their personal lives. Is there even an indication that NC has a problem with it? I think coaches get some say in who they hire to fill roles on their staff. If she does her assigned tasks up to expectation, who cares? Again, if it was a 45 year old man doing the same thing, would people have an issue, or just because it is his 24 year old girlfriend? Take that clip for example. Would it have ever been a sharable clip if a 45 year old male went out and changed out his mike or whatever she was doing? Just seems too TMZ for me. And yet here I am wasting my time commenting on a story that I don't think should be a story, lol.

Just for argument‘s sake, how would we feel if Marcus Freeman‘s wife interrupted his press interviews or if she was shown on the practice field getting involved and taking MF’s attention away from coaching on the field? Maybe not global news but certainly would look odd. I think the BB “saga” is a bit more than UNC anticipated.

I find the topic of one of the most successful pro football coaches of all time taking up with a woman 50 years his junior and allowing her to take some level of control in his foray as a HC at a competition level that is nominally beneath him to be interesting and newsworthy.

The best part of college football isn't the football, it's the assistant coach's stripper girlfriend owning a monkey that bites a kid. It's the recruit's mom being so pissed that he chose a different school that she storms off the stage. It's Chad Bowden looking like a moron wearing a leprechaun outfit to greet recruits. Belichik as sugar daddy to the detriment of a program is peak college football.

As a lifelong Pats fan, I really just am stunned by how poorly Belichick is managing this.

Guy gave nothing to the press for years. Controlled every element of the Pats' organization. And now he's getting walked around on a dog leash by a B+ 25-year old for...reasons?

Rumors I've heard is not that she's an escort, but that they met on a Sugar Daddy website (some people may think that's the same thing, I don't). Also rumors that this girl and his ex, Linda Holliday (who is beloved within the Pats organization for charity work, community involvement, etc.) "intersected" and they don't want the world knowing there was crossover between the two.

Regardless...it's just absolutely insane. And if I'm a UNC administrator, I'm more than a little pissed off.

I think the issue isn't necessarily interrupting the interview (although I could see why people might be bothered by it). I think the issue is that they've told a completely "innocent" story about them meeting on a plane on a flight to/from Florida - which Belichick specifically referenced in his statement yesterday. Why not just give that answer in the interview and then move on?

Her interrupting gives credence to something more being involved here. Like she was afraid of a gotcha moment. That's made the situation messier and makes BB look worse.

...and that's not helped by his absolute bungling of the mess after the fact. I mean, this was an easily avoidable problem, and the continuous statements that keep coming out from his camp (probably her) keeps his name squarely in the news cycle. From a guy who NEVER gave the press ANYTHING, to this? Yikes.

I’m surprised anyone is defending Belichick here. It’s rather funny that the alpha male football coach is afraid to stand up to his 24 year old girlfriend .
I thought from the get go his stint at UNC would be short. Now I think it’s going to be really short.

I'm still trying to figure out if BB just doesn't give a F, or if he's been bamboozled?

guy went from being the GOAT in terms of NFL coaches to basically a pariah in the space of two years where nobody in the league wants anything to do with him. He's definitely going through some sort of massive existential crisis

Realized he ain't winning the SB again w/o a Brady. Realized he's not far from giving up the ghost.

Thought he'd slide into some young trim to feel like a young dude again and now she's leading him around by the dick.

Not the 1st guy to go through that. It's hilarious to 3rd party observers though, every time.

It's amazing how some legendary coaches can go from top of the game to washed up almost overnight. You look at guys that were at their respective teams for a long time like Stoops, Les Miles, Meyer (His was more self inflicted), Belichick, etc and they coached at a high level, either maintained a strong program or dominated the sport for years, and then all of a sudden it all comes crashing down and they're effectively worthless from that point on.

It’s gonna be even worse in a couple years when UNC just keeps going 8-4 like they always do.

Between Brady winning without him, NFL teams seemingly passing and this dirty-old man look, Belichick has lost his "aura" faster than I ever thought possible. If he gets beat down on by the likes of Dave Doeren this year like I'm expecting, it'll be a legacy-tarnishing speedrun.

Agreed, this looks terrible for Bill already. He just needs to cut ties with her at this point if he wants to save face. I hope this report of her banned from UNC facilities is accurate.

I'm honestly starting to wonder whether he ever actually coaches a game at UNC.

he never really wanted to be there. He was hoping some desperate NFL team would want him. His buyout is peanuts
Was the coach-in-waiting deal for his son ever actually confirmed? Could see him doing one year and then handing it off. Though unless he knocks it out of the park, I'm not really clear why UNC would actually go for that. His son is not really qualified for (what should be) a pretty big-time HC gig.

Having a girlfriend young enough to be your granddaughter comes with a price tag. I just hope she's not giving him the "Not tonight Bill. I have a headache." excuse too often.

Pablo Torre went on to say he thinks Hudson was 19 when she met 69 year old Bill

In fact, one source who worked with Hudson on one of Belichick’s shows stated that “she is the worst person I’ve ever met — and I’ve worked with multiple sociopaths.”

Didn't understand this hire when they made it. It isn't even Memorial Day yet and it's already inching toward Shit Show at the Fuck Factory.

I say good. UNC deserves what they get. 72 year old NFL legend that nobody in that League wanted to touch again. If they really did their due diligence and thought this was a good idea, I guess time will tell, but I don't think for a second this is going to be successful for them by any measure or standard.
