Ronald Regan and George Bush created more jobs than Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton. As Regan said, "The best cure for poverty is a job." Obama's economy stimulus package has done next to nothing to create wide-needed jobs to re-fuel the economy. Trickle-down economics worked, espcially with the big budget military spenidng. Love seeing my paycheck go out to homeless, jobless, hicks who would rather sit at home than do an honest day's work. Rich people fuel the economy with major spending and investment in the job and economic market.
Would love to see if Jesus came back and taught me to split bread and wine. Trust me, I'm all for the support of Roe v. Wade and the beauty of our government's checks and balances leaves the TRUE and MOST POWERFUL part of our nation's infastructure to the Judicial Branch... the most brilliant legal minds on the planet.
Tell me... how do your support a system of payment for people that refuse to work, and committing crime after crime as the end result of a broken system, and a mantra that attemts to abolish "God" from money, national slogans, (and my absolute favorite) and from the classroom because of its use in the Constitution and Declaration of Independence?

Wabash how could you actually use facts and reason in a post. Come on man!

I'd argue that trickle down economics worked for AWHILE - but I don't think it still works. The extra money that the "rich guys" make now goes directly into their pocket and less and less is trickling down.
Also, I'd love to hear what you would do if you were in Obama's shoes right now. Obama can't force corporations to create jobs here instead of sending them overseas. So where are all of these jobs going to come from and in what sectors will they be created in? There are people who would LOVE to work right now but can't because they had a low skill job that has been sent overseas to be done for dirt cheap - and they don't have an education or a skillset that is marketable in the jobs that are currently needed right now: technology, business and health.
I'm not near educated enough in politics to understand it all. The reason I am not educated in politics is because I chose not to educate myself with a bunch of useless bullshit. You can know everything there is to know about today's Government and have a very nice fact driven opinion about the good or the bad of it but in the end what does that mean?? Not a damn thing. Is there a voice for the American People anymore?
I really wished that Obama would have done what FDR had done to combat the Depression.
Another political post. There are tons of other ones here tanner. Yawn.
It's becoming obvious that tanner's sole goal is to inflame. Recruiting, MMA, politics, religion. Everything negative or self-serving. He even put something at the bottom of his post in this thread as is to signify that there is no possible response to his post. When more Republicans log on he'll be buried, and there will be 100 posts arguing the same things we saw on all the Obama threads.
Do some research tanner, and you'll see that there are threads here already discussing this stuff. But I think BGIF had you pegged when he called you a troll yesterday. I didn't believe it, but crap like this plus your nonsensical bashing of ND commits has me wondering...

I know quite a few people of diverse backgrounds, education, age, and sex that can't find work. Many have advanced degrees. Despite their education downsizing reduced the workforce in their company/industry. One of the networks recently did a "special" on technology jobs going overseas. A IT guy from California went to India and searched for work in his field. It was kind of funny. He could teach the classes to train the people to anwer the phones in English and provide technical computer assistance but they really didn't want to hire him to do the actual work. He wasn't Indian. He interviewed with a number of U.S. companies that had laid off thousands of workers in this country so they could move their IT jobs overseas.
On the lesser skilled/educated end of the workforce, have you notices the complexion and accent of the people on landscaping crews? In many parts of the country they used to be prodominately black. Now it's a rarity to see a black on a landscaping crew. Same with fast food joints. The "take your order, sir" folks in the service industry were very heavily black. Same with the food processing industries Tyson, Sanderson Farms, the beef packers. Same with hot tar roofing companies, paving companies, concrete and steel workers.
Did all those former wage earning black men and women that I used to see in everyday like get promoted to management? Did they all go overseas to India or the Phillipines to answer telephones. I know they're not all working at ACORN.
By the way, how come Mexican food restaurants don't hire black men and women in any capacity?
My wife has a nephew in college who's had 6 years of Spanish language training. He's fluent. Two years ago he spent a summer in Spain immersed living with a Spanish family and working a job. Back home, he went to a Mexican restaurant near his campus and applied for a job. He's an excellent cook, and has bused and waited tables before. He wanted to work in an restaurant and figured he make use of his fluency. He wasn't hired. It wasn't because of a lack of work ethic, last summer he was in Japan working as an intern there. This summer he's in San Diego working as an intern. He needed the job at the Mexican restaurant as he's had to pay his own way on the intern jobs (no salary, he pays expenses) and his parents are not rich. His father has a small business telephone/computer business and his mom is a R.N. but she was a stay at home mom. They also have a daughter in med school she's an intern now an has amassed about $200,000 in student loans. She sees no way to pay the loans back as Internists income has steadily declined over the past 10 years. Yes, jason, the "rich guys" making less, and less. The daughter considered chucking her internship and quitting medicine but her parents co-signed her loans and they'll lose their declining value house if she does.
By way of disclosure, I'm a Registered Independent and have been all my life. The wife's nephew is also while his parents are Conservatives. The daughter doctor used to be a more rabid yellow dog than any of you. She was a volunteer campaign worker for Obama. It's funny but as she now has a paycheck with FICA and IRS withholding and pays for her own rent and groceries, sees the financial side of healthcare first hand, and sees her industrious young brother with declining prospects of a job when he finishes school, she's becoming more and more disenchaned with Obama. And she hated Bush with passsion.

Reagan was the one who got middle Americans voting for tax cuts for rich people, and thinking of poor people as welfare queens. How did he NOT hate poor people?
You people are scum. And you are stupid. Woe unto you, morons and idiots.
IrishAddiction, creationist racist moron. but he's J/K you guys - seriously, he's J/K.
Go back to the cave you crawled out of, you neanderthal. There's not a player on the ND team, or a single ND faculty member, who wouldn't be disgusted by you and your stated beliefs. But you keep on having them, feel free.
I guess ND fans are a lot like SEC fans after all - we only like blacks when they're on the football field.
