Hey irish fans. i recieved some bad news today. my girlfriends father may have pancreatic cancer.

hey goes in monday for the tests to see if the tumors are cancerous.

i feel selfish asking for prayers for my personal reasons when haiti is also in such turmoil.

but if you can, please include matthew schwartz in your prayers.

Great news best wishes to him in the future. My aunt just was diagnosed with breast cancer its a terrible thing.

Mick,

That is outsanding. Tell your girl and family we will continue to keep them in our prayers. As a physician, pancreatic ca. is a potentially horrific diagnosis. However, this is not that unusual. A good friend of mine had a very similar experience. Marked concern for that as a potential diagnosis - turned out not to be. He is still healthy, working full time as a professor of medicine and doing well at least 7 years later.

May you girlfriend's father have many happy and healthy years.
