Ending up with Henderson and Igwebuike after all of the panicking on here is hilarious. Process trusters vindicated.

What a time to be a ND fan.

Many of the same people that were pissing down their legs during the first week of the transfer portal being open.

That said, major props to Brian Jean Mary who came into the picture late and had to relationship build in a couple months. Also huge props to Freeman and Martin for recognizing that NIL would matter here to help Jean Mary out and that it likely meant not taking a player or two elsewhere to ensure that the funds were available to land two composite top 10 linebackers.

I forget where I heard it. But some fan was being pissing that BJM wasn't doing as well as Partridge

It's never good to be a panican. Huge props to the staff if they can pull this off.

Awesome job by Coach Jean-Mary. If he can pull this off in ~4 months, I can’t wait to see what he’s capable of when he gets a full cycle.

Scheduled to visit Tennessee next weekend. But they just flipped Simon from Bama so curious if this happens regardless

Jones scheduled for 6/22 and Roman was the only other player who put out a date awhile ago - 7/11? Wonder if he keeps that date.

Interesting how the staff lines up the 6 players announcements.

Sesay seems the most likely to pop if someone jumps ahead of Jones

Parks all depends on his weekend travel plans....

Just for fun in order:

-Sesay, Jones, Henderson, Simien, Parks (could go first or last...), Roman.

Per Loy,

Notre Dame is in a “great spot” here, and the staff feels extremely confident. Unsure if the Tennessee visit happens. Decision could get moved up to 6/25; original date is in July.

Loy blew a bunch of smoke up our ass on Sunday. I’m taking everything he’s saying with a grain of salt.

Sounds like Roman might have been able to secure a bit more from us after missing on Henderson. By all means he had a great visit, and we likely led after the visit.

More of a MIKE type backer than I thought based off physical profile.

2028 outlook:

MIKE: Faraimo, Clapper, Igwebuike
WILL: Rezac, Davis
SAM: Kia

If we assume Rezac not to be a viable option, they probably need 1 - 2 guys with coverage ability between now and then added via HS or portal. Faraimo could but think you would prefer to pair him with someone else other, could also already be gone.. I think Kia could play WILL in the way Liufau did but likely lacks the 3 down ability.

I love everything about him besides his athleticism/speed. Great size, plays great in the box at shedding and wraps up violently. But when he's in open space he doesn't look like what we have now.

Yep, frame and play style translate to a modern day Mike that can run.

I could envision more dime looks in '28 with 3 big safeties in Long, O'Brien and Pouncey. That's a lot of length and versatility on the back end.

You only need ONE traditional “LB” per class. RI fits that bill. Now find another box safety or nickel.

Pretty sure it was the 11th and then he moved it up this week and cancelled Tennessee official.
