I was looking at a Miami board and apparently their 247 guy has Folorunsho in their mock class, FWIW.

Listening to some of the pods, they have been very picky about their words. IMO- he is a silent but they are afraid of Miami coming in with a Godfather offer.

I don’t think Folo is a lock, it’s Miami or ND which I posted prior, but I wouldn’t take anything Gaby said too seriously. He’s a total Miami fan boy and crashed out all season about ND LY.

Driskall said it is down to us and Miami. Texas Tech was agent move. Mom prefers ND but respects Miami academics.

Nothing is a lock these days in recruiting, especially with NIL. Considering what Loy and Wiltfong have been saying, combined with Lemming’s slip up on twitter, I’d be surprised if it’s not Notre Dame.
Mike Frank seemed awfully confident as well on the last Power Hour and he is always negative.

I do think MF gets a bad rap when his realism is often taken as pessimism. Fans don’t always want to hear the behind the scenes truth, especially when there’s a level of success on the field. I’ve been a member of ISD since 2002, and the way he looks at things often comes to fruition in the end.

That said, he’s very vocal in a positive way about what’s going on at ND both on/off the field with the support from the university.

I don't read much into any of this stuff anymore because it's too difficult an environment to get the pulse on anymore. It was hard enough 20 years ago when I first started coming to this board and following recruiting.

For Folorunsho to visit, then visit again right away only this time with his mom attending would have been lock, stock and two smoking barrels not all that long ago. Today, I take it with multiple grains of salt.

I used to really enjoy recruiting and follow it as @irishnd31 @IRISHDODGER @PolishDomer and others can attest. I really don't have the time and patience for it anymore. I survived the recruiting era of Urban Meyer at Florida by the skin of my nuts as an ND fan. That was enough.

He's very likely heading to ND. Some publications / members of the ND beat simply don't want to ruin his moment, while others are being conservative in that until he announces, there are concerns that Miami might just make an offer he can't refuse and that he might take the Justin Scott / Marquise Lightfoot route and head down to South Beach.

There are a lot ND people advising him and his mom would like to have him stay closer to home and get an ND education. It appears the Irish NIL offer is competitive, which checks an important box when you're up against Miami... That said, Cristobal is going to go down swinging so most people feel like Miami's best pitch / offer is still to come, which means ND might have to have one in their back pocket as well.

I have an unpopular opinion: if we HAD to. I would take Sesay’s money to secure Folorunsho and Fakatou assuming Vaughn is in. 5 man dl class and take some other $ for a LB

I dont think this would be unpopular at all, IMO Folorunsho is the most important player in the class and we signed 2 stud DEs last year + Vaughn / ONeill

Dan Santucci is president of St. Pats and Tom Zbikowski is the head coach of the football team.

In 2026, we're sitting here thinking "Shit, Miami might throw millions at him."

It's seriously crazy.

We’ve been starving for a 4 man pass rush. No way in hell would I cheap out for a fringe 5 star edge.
