I get having loyalty to a coach that recruited you but you’d think once that coach is fired things would change, even if he was hired elsewhere at a lesser program. Oh well. He would have been a nice bonus addition but not a necessity.

The message VaTech needs to send is how much of that $250m infusion is earmarked for football and how much is for other sports...

Does VT have that deep of pockets??
No, but according to a VT friend of mine part of landing Franklin was that Franklin wanted an "Indiana" that would 1) have the infrastructure to add talent 2) be over-the-moon thrilled with 10 wins. And he got some guarantee of NIL $$ for Year 1 that would allow them to close strong plus add a ton in the portal.

He knows how much the PSU guys were getting and it wasn't a lot, so he's taking a bunch of PSU coaches with him and just poaching as many PSU guys as possible lol

I was just going to say that Dale. Although I don't know about the stacks of cash. I think he has a really good relationship with CF.

I think CF is going to flip/bring a lot of the PSU commits with him. Judging by the visit list for VT this weekend, it's looking that way. I also think (just my POS opinion haha) that CF is going to bring some/decent amount of PSU coaches with him from PSU. He's already hired some admin/off the field people from PSU.
Is he going to bring Seider w him? Oh, wait…

Allegedly VT is going to throw "above market" NIL at the PSU recruits (including Sieg) to "send a message" lmao
P$U is naturally a bigger draw of talent than VT and "dipshit" couldn't win any major games there, so I'm not too concerned what he'll do at VT. Piss your money away VT.

Yeah but there are less "major games" in the ACC. He'll have to face ND every so often and then what? Miami some years are good, but if they get them past mid October they'll be in their annual decline. Maybe Clemson regains its form. FSU once every 5 years. Point is, the path to the playoffs in the ACC is paved with sunshine and rainbows for the most part. If he just beats everyone he "should" beat, he'll end up in or around the ACCCG most years and there's a chance he catches a team like UVA or GT in there instead of Miami, FSU, or Clemson.

VT is going to be a huge game in 2027. Franklin is going to make a fast impact - they are apparently going to pay coordinators close to 1m.

This number was an error - under their new infrastructure, assistant (10 full time guys) salaries as a whole will average around 1m (950k.)

Big investment compared to where they were at. I'm sure coordinators will make a couple million. There's talk about Ricky Rahne leaving ODU to reunite with Franklin.

Its actually not a bad spot for him. He always beats the mid/bad teams. Thats like the whole of the ACC.
