The early aught TE I recall prior to Fasano were Holloway, O'Leary, Owens and Collins. I think all of them were drafted.

Fasano to Mayer has been absolute gold mine of players at the position.

Was Alize Mack drafted?

7th round. He's pretty much the only ND tight end starter to not make an impact in the NFL. So not only are our guys drafted but they are drafted early and/or become starters.
He was an off and on starter, sad because he was probably the most talented but couldn't get a grip on the starter spot with Kelly at the helm like alot of top talent.

I don’t know if it’s been covered since, but I saw A LOT of posts asking how he could be KSU in the morning & ND in the afternoon, & how much did ND pay him to get him to change?

A) He was not KSU in the morning. There was a false rumor he had committed to KSU the night before. He didn’t. In the morning people found out he contacted someone (and just assumed it’s KSU) & started putting in picks.
He actually called ND in the morning & that was kept secret all day.

B) ND didn’t pay him off. Even KSU mods are saying the KSU offer was larger.

C) The KSU mods never actually knew what was going on. They never even mentioned Premer’s visit to ND as a factor. It’s like it never happened to them. They made a lot of assumptions without actually talking to Premer or his family.

D) Notre Dame nailed his OV. The staff knew they did great. Premer told them ND was his favorite. So this was always a coin-flip between ND & a school close to home. He was either going to stay home or choose to leave home to go to his top school. He chose his top school.

E) The notion that nobody saw this coming & “even ND didn’t see it coming…” as the KSU mods are stating is false. Just because the ND sites didn’t see it coming doesn’t mean ND themselves didn’t. They were confident all along. Because they actually talked to Premer who told them to their faces ND was his favorite.
F) A staff member made him a ND shaped waffle
G) He saw Ty Chan slam a revolving door
H) He watched wizard of Oz and said F that
I) the opportunity to land Selma Hayek is better at ND
J) Really wants to play in UA shoes

Ib pod said that they pretty much said “you are a top ranked te. We are te U. You have a 4.0. We are a great academic school. Let’s stop playing”

If only it were that simple with most of these top ranked kids.

Having been stationed at Fort Riley for a year; their beer socks and too low of alcohol content. The only time I refused a beer was when I was stationed there

Was offline last night and this was the first tweet I saw this morning. Couldn’t figure out what this was about - then scrolled. Wowza. Did not expect this commitment. MFMF is running wild right now.
I'm surprised I haven't gotten banned yet on Twitter for what I sent the guy in a message lol

What year were you there?

It’s been long enough now, so I can probably tell this story (over 20 years)…

My unit used to travel to Riley and enter during the night & go straight to the helo hangers over by that huge hill. We would stay in the hangar (eat MREs there, sleep there, etc…) and never leave during the day. At night we would do exercises, war games, etc… in all the huge fields.
We didn’t wear patches or ranks or anything that could identify us or even what branch we were in.
Funny enough, my last time there, someone fired off a round into the clearing barrel while clearing their weapon, inside the hanger. LOL

My commander (a ND grad), and myself went over into Junction City in our civies to get pizzas for our entire unit (less than 50 of us), the last night we were there before he left to take command elsewhere.
I don’t plan on ever going back to Junction City….

Freeman is building the program up, recruits are buying in. Premer will make an impact like Mayer.

Welcome to the Irish family ☘️

Check out highlights from this game, this dude is a force . Almost comical meanstreak on some bodyslam blocks. Also outruns everyone

Big reason i wouldn’t go into portal for a big name te. Cooper, James and him will be fine lol. Washington may have another year too

So you’re gonna rely on 3 guys with zero experience? And one gets hurt and your depth is shit. You should def go get another TE

Cooper Flanagan has over 400 career snaps. Ty Washington also has another year.

And if Flanagan gets injured again? Washington has barely played. You need a TE capable of being a threat in the passing game

How productive were the LSU tes under Denbrock? At some point, some positions are going to lose importance. I will take qb, ol, wr, rb over te

What if Carr gets hurt? You can’t just start a conversation about depth and say the best one will be hurt lol. No shit the depth will be hit then.

I think we will be fine at TE I’d rather spend the money at WR and DL the two biggest needs next year
