"analysis" from some of the fans in this thread is truly lacking. It has been stated repeatedly every time Noah Grubbs gets mentioned that his Oline is going to be terrible this year and he lost his 3 best WRs from last year. I dont expect Grubbs to put him amazing stats this year and that will fuel some ND fans into dogpiling on him and asking for another QB.

I think this is one where ND fans will have to trust ND coaches. Remember, this is the QB they chose over pretty much every other one. ND got their guy. Some of you need to relax and analyze why his team may not look great instead of blaming it all on Grubbs.
Do we know for sure they chose him let Brady Hart? Pretty sure Grubbs was willing to commit first. Also Deuce was committed at that time. A qb like grubbs would be a perfect fit at the time bc he wldnt threaten Deuce and 27 targets

I get the impression that Grubbs “is” the team right now and there is only so much he can do on his own, especially if many of his throws are on the run.

Great post. Look at our current QB competition Carr was the more highly recruited prospect over Minchey and Minchey is showing what he can currently do in the the fall camp. Just because there may be someone out there that is a better high school prospect than Grubbs, it doesn't guantee a damn thing once they step on campus. This is no dig on Carr, but what you said in your first sentence "analysis" has gone too far on Grubbs, trust these coaches.

My only question with Grubbs is his fit in what Denbrock wants to do offensively. If Minchey ends up being the guy and Teddy Jarrard is coming on board, Grubbs doesn’t fit that profile. It just doesn’t vibe on the surface…but I don’t know anything so 🤷🏼‍♂️

His game cut:

Idk how this team made the state championship last year lol.

He honestly didn’t play poorly considering what’s around him. Certainly has a strong arm. Tough to properly grade him when he’s constantly running for his life and no one is open.

Seems like I read that almost every starter from last year’s team is gone so it’s essentially a totally new group out on the field.

Wouldn’t ND tell him that they had reservations about his trainer, if that were the case?

Watched the game cut a couple of times. I'm not a QB expert by any means, but it seems like there's a lot to like.

Made good choices. One of the few that wasn't was the deep pass into double coverage, but even that he made a pretty good throw.

There were only one or two throws that I would even classify as bad.

Seemed to have good poise amidst the snap issues and the OL whiffing on blocks.

A couple pretty blatant PI calls that were missed.

Seems like he will only get better the rest of the season as he has time to gel with the influx of transfers.

MF accidentally said his name in the presser instead of Noah Burnett when asked about the kickers. Followed by “I hope that’s not a violation”.

“Ball is snapped. Quarterback back to pass.”
Listen man, it's the hard way. You expect the announcer to go through the taxing labor to memorize the name of the QB on the opposing team who is one of the highest rated recruits in the state and is committed to Notre Dame?

If he has the talent - he’ll benefit in the long run; being under fire and working in tighter windows vs. a powerhouse with unlimited protection and guys running free.
