Yeah there were some articles saying with their poach of OR QB last week, they were then #1 recruiting classs. Just because they lost recruits to late season flips doesn’t mean it’s necessarily gonna happen again — Right? And yes, USC always recruits fairly well, their recent challenges notwithstanding. We’ll have to see how this plays out and like ND2008 said, are they paying out of the wazzou?

I’m fine with us putting our resources somewhere else our history of Cali kids panning out hasn’t been the greats KVA and Fairmo are the outliners but other than that who else has made a huge impact recently?

And to throw salt on our wounds (yes, this hyperbole), they could at some point end our storied rivalry. Yes, she’s intentionally vague and essentially covering her ass for what they may have to do in the future. USC's Jennifer Cohen discusses the future of the Notre Dame football rivalry
As the saying goes there are plenty of fish in the sea. Yes it would be a travesty if USC ends the series, but as long as it is them and not ND, fuck ‘em. ND will be fine without them.

I agree, they do it, they look like the scared ones walking away from their continued annual ass beatings (at least that’s how I’ll play it in my head!) 🍀🍀🍀

Please acknowledge the diff tween SoCal and NorCal.

But SoCal guys “recently” include Patterson, McKinley and Blake Barnett.

I guess I should’ve included Buchner. It was a big rankings win.

Do you have the memory of a goldfish? Two of our best Interior Linemen of the last decade have been from CA. So was our sacks leader from the last decade. Twice in the last 5 years our leading receiver has been from CA. There have been plenty of good players we’ve signed from the state, there are plenty more who would’ve been great if we had signed them. You don’t cut bait on an entire region, not if you’re Notre Dame.

This does kinda suck now. I figured with KVA and Faraimo we had him in our corner. This pay to play NIL is real and we’ll find out what he got. Or maybe he I one that’s afraid to leave home and that’s ok even though I hate USC and Riley.

The staff has us In some big time battles in NC and the south. They have us in some big time battles in Texas as well.

Take a deep breath fellas.

The comparisons to KVA and Faraimo should stop and end with their heritage.

KVA and Faraimo were very thorough and made late decisions, because they digested what they were receiving and ultimately made the best decision at the end.

SK put out a top 30 list and then what? A week later? Commits to USC. It's pretty evident that he didn't put anywhere near as much thought as those two did into his decision. Which, not knocking the kid, he has time to process and decide if he made the right choice before he signs. It's just that one of these things is not like the other.

It's funny that the SEC and BIG are the ones pushing for changes to the playoff system when the biggest issue is inequality of schedules within the 2 power conferences. SC plays Oregon on the road and then gets a mediocre Michigan at home.
They need ND for SOS as much as ND does.

Sucks that they are missing out on Katoanga but now it's time Thomas Davis Jr to step up as one of the leaders of the class a d start pushing for his cousin and teammate Aiden Harris to really start thinking about ND.

You never know for sure, but man, when I look at Katoanga, I see a beast in the making who by the time he's a sophomore or junior for sure, if not his freshmen year, is going to be a menace and one we're gonna to have to face every year he's there. Would have loved to see him join The Irish
