Should be noted Justin Hill is a top 150 edge.

Tough competition.

It’s just your average DL/OL 1v1, no different than the drills they’ve run at these camps for years. Strebig’s technique is just awful on that rep so maybe it looks different to some.

One rep at one camp, who cares. But, certainly something that a coach would look at and say ok, let’s coach this up.

His kick slide is essentially a back pedal. Creates a narrow base and he gives up the momentum advantage immediately. When you include zero “punch” upon engagement. The defender did exactly what any edge should do, play through him. If an OL steps back, you play through.

Good news is, you can’t teach that size, but can teach the technique.
Agreed.

Strebig's technique was straight trash on that play. I will say, that was insanely impressive power from Hill though. A 220 pound edge rusher just straight up knocking a near 300 pound lineman on his butt is something else.

If I remember his highlight tape was a majority of him run blocking and down field blocking. Obviously that part of the camp doesn't show his strengths.

Can someone wake up Ol' Man Mike to tell me what I'm really looking at. Cause I know what I think I'm seeing...but I don't know much, so.

I know nothing.
But he seems really stiff.

In his highlight film, he’s not the most mobile guy. Granted he’s huge, so it may not look like he is. I think between the three OL, Strebig is actually better suited as a guard. At 6’8”… I’m not so sure.

Great long term prospect. Doesn't look ready to start day 1 and that's fine with the talented young players on the O-line that the Irish already have. Give him a couple years and he could turn into a great tackle. Can't teach 6'8!

Joe Alt announce as an NFL leader has to help these decisions.
We just MUST have a pipeline to the future given our OLineU earned reputation.
Only laziness can now screw us up.
