One to watch for sure. Offered last month.

Coming to the Cookout.

3.9 GPA. Excellent public school

Good size but average length for 6-5.

Tweener DE at this point. Good motor, plus feet and burst. Plus closing speed too. Slippery off blocks.

A lot to like. Won't confuse his tape with Keeley/Rushing film but if you don't take him, he'll be an AA at Iowa. If you take him, Kaminski goes to Iowa and is a 2nd rounder... that's just how it goes.

If it’s Kaminski, Reiff, and Nate Marshall who would you take first?

I haven't had as much time looking and listening as I have in the past but Marshall reminds me of Deontae Craig who broke out last year even as a back up. Will be a starter this year and I look for him to explode. ND should not have passed on him.

Read recently that Reiff reminds some of Van Ness... if that's accurate = take.

Personal fav would have to be Kaminski. I followed his brother Jacob closely but he was a better wrestler and was on IU's team last year. Gabe is also an excellent wrestler (huge plus of course) He was runner up as a freshman (not sure about Soph tbh) but his twitter bio mentions nothing about wrestling, only football. That's encouraging to me in regards to him being a legit football prospect.
BTW... Gabe put up some insane #'s last year and Naz plays a real schedule. His film is 7 minutes of a good schedule having no idea how to block him.

Im with ya BMac, this Illinois crop of dlinemen has the feeling of producing a couple emeralds.
Which one feels like a crap shoot. When in doubt, look for production and wrastlin background....

I haven’t followed the 25 class that close. But is staking all these 25 guys this early a mistake?

From a developmental standpoint, if Iowa wanted him, I'm buying.

York isn't a suburban stalwart but they have a good program the last few years, so I think he'll get more offers before spring, which is fine.

York is 5-0 and plays a huge game this weekend against Downers Grove North (5-0). Coming off of this verbal, that game should be a great atmosphere and he'll have some eyes on him.

My dad graduated from York so Reiff must be good 😊
