Camped at ND in June, came away impressed. Seems like ND is a player here going forward. Runs a 10.86 and 22.29. Top 100 prospect for one of the top teams in the country.

Played against Saint Frances Academy last night in a Top 10 battle. Had a PD, blocked punt, 29yd reception, and two tackles in a shutout win.

Game highlights, he's number 21.

Ryan Roberts said on the IB podcast that Deuce Knight is recruiting Devin very very hard.
If the 2025 recruiting class at Notre Dame ended up with a QB from Mississippi with offers from everyone who matters and a CB from Buford High School, that would be three Glenville, Mater Dei and *anywhere* in Fresno kids away from being the least likely thing imaginable.

That offer list is niceeee.
Yeah, it's not the offer list or lack of stars that would stop me from making an outsider crystal ball. He's also probably a great kid. Buford's just not what I'd call ND-friendly place.

Maybe he's a big Darius Walker and Montgomery VanGorder fan! Who knows!?

Buford is a pretty nice suburb, it’s just a football factory. He’s essentially at Georgia’s Mater Dei.

Oh no, I wasn’t implying that about Buford. Sorry.

I just know they aren’t historically a Notre Dame-friendly school, like Mater Dei. I know why it’s that way at Mater Dei, but I don’t know the deal with Buford. There has to be a reason they’ve produced a ton of kids, and just one ended up here as long as I can remember. I’m still salty about Omar Hunter.

Totally different situation than a power like Glenville, though.

The classic “must get” recruit. What happens if they don’t land him?

Hey, I "did my own research" to be sure, but there are no Chicago Catholic schools in Buford, GA.

This'll all be fine no matter what.

We tend to settle for some "under the radar" guy who never plays for us and leaves after 2 years unfortunately. But "must get" guy in terms of being a guy who can play on both sides of the ball with ELITE speed! Something we continuously lack these days, but have a less polished version of in Micah Bell, but he faced terrible competition.

Notre Dame and Mike Mickens have developed a top 5 secondary, heading into 2024. An argument could be made that they have the very best unit.

If he were to choose ND, I think he could compete for nickel snaps.

No claim that he'd win it outright but they might be willing to give him some burn during the season to see how he responds.
