Exactly… we don’t need to “guess” this early .. again hard to question deland. But this guy seems far far from a guaranteed top end rb based off his film as a soph.

I’m just basing this off his film. Runs hard but doesn’t seem overly fast or quick, not many moves. Should have some wow factor at least. The wow factor one could claim is he’s not scared of contact.
I look forward to tormenting you incessantly when you are proven wrong. Enjoy your whinging.

Keep in mind that he was evaluated at a Tennessee camp and was quickly offered by UT so if he impressed in person in a camp setting, that’s probably a decent indicator of his potential.
That's a good point. From what I have access to watch him as a football player, he looks like a reach right now.

Counterpoint:

He also camped at Bama, Auburn & Ole Miss without getting offered.
Didn’t know that but thanks for the info! Was it before or after the UT camp/offer?

P.S. I now see that he attended camps at MSU and AU earlier in June.

Alt?
Thomas?
By the time alt graduated HS you could see he had a chance to be good… never expected this good this fast

Jayden Thomas? He was a pretty big get with some big time offers. You could see he was a natural athlete with solid size despite not being a burner.

Didn’t Mustain commit to Arkansas because he was worried about Clausen?
My understanding was he felt pressure to come to Arkansas once Malzahn was there & I’m sure Gus did a good job selling him on the future. That eased his willingness to commit. I still remember when SC was boat racing them in their freshmen season & Nutt let Mustain & Damian Williams play in mop up time. Mustain threw a dime to Williams for a TD and fans at least had a glimmer of hope for their future. Then it all went to shit. Mustain‘s mom started some drama. Then Damian Williams transferred to SC where he had a nice career and played in the NFL w/ the Titans. Mustain followed him there and he started vs ND in 2010 when BK finally got the SC monkey off ND’s back w/ a win in the rain.

IB said today on their show that if Anderson called up ND today to commit, he wouldn’t be able to.
Then said there aren’t any RBs right now who are close that ND would take today.

So should we be glad that IB is wrong like they usually are or concerned they took this commit?

I don’t like they are done with RB recruiting, a year & a half ahead of NSD, when neither are elite.
McCoulough won’t be here to coach these kids in 2 years, so he isn’t putting in the effort to go after top 50 kids.

I LOVE that we've branched out from O-Line U to O-Line/TEU.
Now we're going to be O-line, TE, and RBU.
I know a drunk poster when I see one! Don’t overstay things based on a three star 50 rank running back. Geez.

I agree it’s an awful take. I don’t know what they’re thinking.

Agree with NDMatt. Nothing against the young fella, but would like to see how these guys perform/develop junior year, especially with Thurman already committed. Seems like banking to much on potential at this point, but McCullough had likely forgotten more than i know about rb's....

I have a feeling McCullough & Stuckey will be elsewhere next year if the offense continues to shine. Pay raise & possible promotion.
