Looks like he can play.
I was going to mention 7 verbal commits in less than a month and "recruiting momentum" next.
I keep seeing people post this 30-35 number. Its really not healthy and poor roster management to take that many in a single classThis class should be 30-35 so we will need to take about 10 3 starts to build depth
Not if you expect 7 - 10 to transfer out or not be on the team, but still be in school, year in and year out, which seems to be the norm now.I keep seeing people post this 30-35 number. Its really not healthy and poor roster management to take that many in a single class
It absolutely is if you have 10-20 transfers/deflections every year. 30-35 is more than you would expect to regularly have, but if a lot of players leave or you think will leave you need to over recruit to have a chance. The 30-35 in my mind includes the portalI keep seeing people post this 30-35 number. Its really not healthy and poor roster management to take that many in a single class
It was against the rules for years to take that many. Now, with the portal hovering over everything, there's no annual limit. Bet Deon will blow through 30 with ease.I keep seeing people post this 30-35 number. Its really not healthy and poor roster management to take that many in a single class
Oh for sure. Our LBs in this class are Top 850 and Top 450 players. I am sure it will work itself out.... just not the way we were hoping...."this is not okay"...relaaaxxxxx. It'll work itself out. If Chris Cole and KVA want to come they won't be turned away
That is a positive way of looking at it!! Insurance... just not Top 250 LBs like the prior two classes. Hope this stops the hoarding of 3 stars in this class.Think this is going to be a big class and Freeman wants insurance in case we can’t hit on some of the high profile LBs.
Yea the Coaching thing will be the thing to be proved by MF over the next season or two. The recruiting, at best, is marginally better than BK. Whether its bad timing with NIL, Transfer Portal, Admin Bullshit...whatever. We are still in the same recruiting aisle. Some of the freak outs on other sites are epic right now.
I think people need to realize two facts:
1) ND probably isn’t getting Chris Cole, so saying ND is in a good spot with him probably isn’t true. And ND doesn’t lead for KVA. OSU probably does.
2) Recruiting under Freeman isn’t going to be some magical difference from BK.
BK’s recruiting was a 7. Freeman’s is an 8. BK’s coaching was an 8.5 to 9. Freeman’s is a 7. Things aren’t magically getting better.
Waiting...waiting...

I gotta believe 4.55 40 time for a lb at the combine would be slightly better than or at minimum right around averageA 4.55 40 tells me he isn't slow. The fastest 40 for LB's in the 2023 draft was 4.39 and 6 LB's ran slower than 4.55, with some good conditioning and quickness training he can improve on that 40.
He didn’t rise, good call. Maybe, he’s just not that good and ND was Fuckin stupid for taking his & Rezac’s commitmentOn the final star rankings I don't think he'll end up being a 3*, kid has potential to rise.
Welcome to the family Bodie!
I'll take that! They compared Bodie to Bertrand very early on in his recruitment and I think it's a great comparison. Bertrand plays faster than he may run and Bodie plays very fast on film. The difference being Bodie is bigger. Which could make a difference. But, if the floor of the room are bigger versions of Kiser and Bertrand. While the ceiling are Sneed, KVA, etc. That is an extremely good spot to be.
Plus I believe he’s only played LB in 5 games…..…it’ll be fun to watch his film this fall as he really settles in.They compared Bodie to Bertrand very early on in his recruitment and I think it's a great comparison.
