Julian Sayin (listed) at 6'1 185 is the next Pyne - considering his future OC

I was just thinking about how ridiculous it would be if Tommy somehow lucked into getting the correct QB between Sayin and Carr by default since he switched jobs.

Imagine Sayin being one of those guys that is legit, inherently lights-out, regardless of his coaches, while Carr is just *pretty good.*

Rees essentially had his choice at ND! And he chose to pursue Carr over Sayin in the '24 class once things started shaking out.

God help us if we're screwed by another McCarthy/Buchner thing from Rees, AND he somehow comes out on top for having taken a job at the school that landed the other half of the evaluation.


HOWEVER, I DON'T BELIEVE THIS WILL BE THE CASE, JUST TO MAKE THAT CLEAR. CJ CARR IS THE TRUTH, AND EXACTLY WHAT ND HAS BEEN WAITING FOR.

Both are reporters who never played, coached or evaluated football, but think they are expert evaluaters.

Both hate ND & it’s fans.

Both suck at reporting.

Hammond scores 1 point higher than CJ, & climbs all the way to in front of him from way behind?

Hammond was 6 after day 1, Carr was 5.

Noland's spot is odd. The guys who should be mad at this point based on their performances and where they are in the rankings are Grunkenmeyer and Trever Jackson.

I'd say top 5. Based on the past two days. Per 24/7's live feed, he got second in an accuracy challenge today behind Sayin. His numbers for the 7v7 were pretty good (9/13 2 TDs, another two dropped).

I have no clue what Davis’ accuracy score was, but Ivins glossed over Carr’s 50.

Then Ivins went out of his way to talk about Davis’ 11-15 & 4 TDs in the 7v7, but Carr was 9-13 and 2 TDs, with two dropped TDs, or he would have been 11-13 with 4 TDs.

CJ Carr is a dude. There is very little that could happen between now and when he shows up on campus that shakes my optimism of him. The rest is just noise to create clicks, drama, suspense, etc.

With that said, if I was comparing his recent workout footage to his first day footage from Elite 11. He looked to be intentionally turning down the velocity and maybe aiming a little too much. Which, theoretically always makes sense but in practicality never works, lol.

He's got a live arm, great frame, solid athlete, and sweet mechanics. It's only going to be mental for him.

Where's everyone getting the Carr 9/13 number? I can only find the 247 guy saying 9/17.

I would guess some people are counting "reps" and some people are counting "attempted passes". If Carr has what's timed as a sack, for some it's counted as a 0/1, and for others it's not counted at all because they're only concerned with throw accuracy.

Charles Power is the one who ranks Carr 193rd in the nation & the 12th QB.

He is the sole reason Carr isn’t a composite 5 Star. Every other site has Carr a top 40 player & top 5 QB.

The thought was if Carr put up a top 5 performance then Power would be forced to move him up, which would get Carr his 5 Star.

But it’s obvious that even if Elite 11 have Carr top 5, Power doesn’t care. He ranked him 9th which mean he won’t move him up to the top 50 and top 5 QB like he should.

I bet he moves him up inside the top 150, but no higher.
