What is up with this drop in rankings from being a prospect to a portal transfer?

Doesn't seem to match up with Day trying his best to keep him, or his film. The kid looks ridiculous.

Totally get the film breakdown in college as a key point of assessment for a player.

If he is, in fact, a three-star and the #37 receiver nationally, why so much hype and such a big push by Day to keep him, with OSU having so much elite talent at WR?

IMO, high school rankings are projection. Transfer ranking has to do with him going into his third year without really producing. Not sure he's been given the opportunity yet with Egbuka, Tate, and Smith (Inniss) ahead of him. Transfer Portal ranking is part college production/projection. As far as why posu is trying to get him back...they've lost a lot of receivers in the portal. They signed a guy from UTSA at receiver trying to offset some of the defections.

They really don't know how to rank most of these guys because alot of them don't watch film or their is a lack of film to watch. Graham at worse is a 4* talent still and will make an impact wherever he lands or returns.
