Kyle Hamilton ran a 4.8 at the combine.

I don’t need a Safety to have top end speed or elite acceleration.
Hamilton ran a 4.59 and that was mainly due to his technique and running diagonally he's much faster. Johnson's ranking dropped for that reason because he was seen as an OFF player first not as a S.

You realize he was referencing when he was in high school not at the NFL combine, right?

Is it just me or did Kyle Hamilton just know where the ball was going better than anyone else on the field. He had sick instincts.

That and he's a true 6'4. There are not a lot of guys that are 6'4 and move like that. It's not straithe ght line speed with him. He is a very fluid 6'4.

Truly a very unique S prospect.

I haven't read through this entire thread, but have there been any Sauce comparisons yet?

It seems like people forget that Freeman helped develop him into the best corner on planet Earth.
Hopefully Sauce is one of the main talking points with every DB recruitment.

He was rookie of the year and All Pro.
Most of the advanced stat websites had him light years above anyone else.

Definitely something Freeman should be using to recruit.

The best comp is Antonio Johnson, the WR turned safety out of East St Louis. Keep your fingers crossed that it turns out have as good.

People think Tae's frame translates into a FS where if Sauce didn't make it at corner, his only hope to get on the field was at K/P or holder.

Mickens was there in '19 and Gardner had 2 pick 6's and made freshman all-american teams. So Mickens gets credit for identifying him. There was a kid in last year's class named Amare Snowden who was a 6'3 db from Michigan just like Sauce. He committed to Cincy I think but followed Fickell to Wisconsin. That kid was someone I wanted ND to look at/take.

I can't shake this gut feeling that ND turns it on and lands him.

Mickens and Freeman seem to do pretty good with long, underrated CB's outta Detroit

Whodathunkit?

He resembled Sauce so much with the height, length, and being from Michigan and he committed to Cincinnati which drew my attention.. not that he ends up being as good as him but I thought he would be similar to what we have with Cam Hart. Never watched his highlights though, I just liked him haha.

Quick question…

When did Johnson dislocate his shoulder?

I saw a clip, says it’s from yesterday, of him hurting his shoulder in a game on that show about his high school.

Was that last season & they are just showing it now on the show about Northside football?

A lot of discussion here in the fort that Tae and his team are "walking out" on rest of season.

I did see that Tae was going to miss the rest of the year with a shoulder injury, fwiw. Not sure if that was just cover from Loy
