Understood the view of our QB commit in the Junior class but not getting a 2023 QB stud is an urgent issue and needs to be better managed. You need to show and position the 2023 QB Opportunity as open - not as a large get together w CJ as the Lead Recruiter. Also, recruiting WR position is not analogous to QB. There can be as many as 4 WR on the field at once. Only one QB at a time.

You needed Austin to feel special.
I see what you are saying. However, I feel like this is a different circumstance. This was probably on the books for a while. The timing was very rushed and I'm sure we needed to get him on campus before getting back to Baylor or TAMU. Would you have told Carr not to come at that point? What if this was the only time Novosad could come and thus, the best chance at a great '23 QB?

You don’t have them meet on his first visit! A 5 star from a known Football Family of national fame and is already discussed as “Lead Recruiter” - despite being a Junior.

You need QBs like Austin to feel special and the first visit should have been segregated.

When would you have gotten Novosad on campus? Ideally this weekend so he doesn't go to TAMU, but maybe that wasn't an option for him. Isn't it a dead period next month?

Aug. 1-31, 2022, except as noted below:
• Forty-eight hours before a home contest (on the
institution’s campus or in a facility normally used
for its home games) that occurs in August or on
Sept. 1 or 2 through 48 hours after the conclusion
of the contest.

Austin chose the date.
ND wanted him a different day, like Minich today, but Austin chose the BBQ & the ND staff is in no position to tell him no.
This is the only week he can visit. Then it’s the dead period before the season starts.
That’s why he is doing a day at Baylor & A&M Friday & Saturday.
Then it’s done & decision time.

Dude, your handle is "smartest guy in the room". You serious Clark?
Arahop: fair question.

I was merely responding to Deirishpisser getting all hot and bothered by my critique of Austin’s visit. He called me an A-Hole in an emotional response. That attack wasn’t needed.

Reaper to his credit wasn’t emotional and gave a reasoned response. That stated I think this is going to be a tough go if the ND staff can’t show the 2023 QB prospects their own undivided attention without Carr. This is only my opinion and surely if I am wrong then securing a quality 2023 QB while interfacing w Carr shouldn’t be an issue.

it is the way you stated it. You sound like a clown, almost blaming a 5 star quarterback for going out of his way to recruit and getting vital players like Wingo to want to come. How you fail to realize what you wrote sounded downright stupid is bizarre.
We cant just recruit the current year. This was an opportunity to stack classes at certain positions, via recruiting. I will take getting Wingo, and possibly hurting the feelings of a 23 class qb who may not come anyways. You recruit them all, and if they cant handle, u move on. Look at what only recruiting moore did.

horribly.

im not in a twist. You have just been a dope in so many posts and so many people are tired of it. I have been on this site five years, barely posting. And every year there is a person like you who is just a hair puller and detract from the site.

I've given up debating that cat, keep fighting the good fight.

Also, God bless your soul for putting up with NDnation. I can't stand that place.

Novosad had a choice of when to visit. He wanted to come for the bbq. What should the staff say, no? CJ being at the bbq is why Wingo showed up to the bbq. CJ Carr is essential and is a big reason I think we lead for Wingo. He is the face of ‘24 and the Drayk Bowen version of recruiter for that class. First guy I’d call to come to bbq. He’s a 5 star committed qb. Novosad is neither.

If Novosad doesn’t commit - there is probably only one or two other prep QBs in the Top 250 that I think is worthy.

Perhaps they wait on transfer or go back through Top 10 QBs. I still think Holstein could waiver but that is just my theory.

Apologize to you guys who are recruiting wizards because this was likely already addressed a while ago, but I must have missed something.

He is "committed" to Baylor, so why is he nearing a "final decision?" Did he basically admit that the is opening his recruitment without actually decommitting? Seems a bit odd to me.

Help a guy catch up.

Wish I would’ve thought of this in college…
”Honey, I’m committed to you, but I’m still seeing these 3 other girls and will make a final decision soon”. 😁
I'm sure many have tried, and few have succeeded. Those who did succeed deserve a statue

Good grief what a disaster. Never go full potato on one guy again. Ever.

Unless your goal is to show that one guy just how important he is...

If you would have done that, the odds of you being around to post on IE are very slim.
