Brice said today he heard Kentucky said 2 million
Kenny picked Nebraska
Now?
Kenny is probably getting close to 3 million lol
I support Kenny Minchey getting whatever he wants out of college football but who the hell is paying a guy who hasn’t thrown a meaningful pass in three years $3 million to lead their team against Alabama and LSU and Oklahoma next season?

He is not worth that. lol what a joke
Will Stein needs a QB and Kentucky has barely anyone on their roster worth paying anything to... Might as well back up the Brinks truck and at least sign a QB that you feel you can build around lol. Better than paying aome other nobody that doesn't touch the ball 70 times per game.

They could lose 6 or 7 games. And I hope they do.

I love how some folks all of a sudden are hating on Kenny for getting his bag.

The portal sucks and is awful, but its not the athletes' fault.

It could be changed incredibly easily, but no one in the proximity of real power (capital) wants to do anything about it for obvious reasons

Zero career starts?
He has an established market with Nebraska at 2M, don't anyone would think he'd "deserve" that amount.

Grown men being upset that players who graduated from their favorite team getting paid in the portal to continue playing football is right below people who respond to OF bot accounts on twitter in terms of pathetic.

So funny that the beat writers public stance on the fall camp battle is gonna be circulated so hard on this. May have even impacted the price.

I'm not so sure Freeman and Co. didn't do minchey summer big solids carrying on that it was a battle so long.

Carr was too good this year for me to think coaches didn't know way before announced.

They both were on campus all year previous too.
Well, maybe if they'd made a decision sooner they would have had a better offensive gameplan vs. Miami. The drawn-out QB battle didn't help the team, from what I can tell.

Agreed, last August was a giant cluster by the coaches. It should’ve never taken three games to figure out the personnel.

Freeman should be calling Minchey up and asking for $300,000 of that $3,000,000 to purchase ND a kicker. A "thank you" for spending 6 months building up enough hype around him that schools are willing to pay him the same or more than Carr makes, to transfer, without doing anything meaningful in college.

"Kenny... It's coach Free. We're so broke over here that the priests are sending the collection bin around to see if we can scrape together enough change for an FCS defensive tackle... That said, we also need a kicker, otherwise we're just going to play 4 down football. You think you can give us 10% of that stack Kentucky just paid you to help us out? Tough times over here. We'll even take it in the form of a loan if we have to, but it might take us 50 years to pay if off, like one of those Trump mortgages. You good for it?"

I’m sure most of us are happy that Kenny is getting his bag of money. It this guy was a ND guy and I don’t think anyone likes a flipper. Kentucky won like 4 games this year and the are in the SEC which is not a cake walk. Most QBs are only as good as those around them. He won’t have the ND supporting cast or be playing in garbage time against a beaten down team. We’re going to see how this works out and who Nebraska winds up with. It’s all about the Benjamin’s for these portal pirates.

give me a break

he'll start at Kentucky just like he'd start at Nebraska with around double the money. good for him

who gives a shit? Flip? He'll have just as much film on tape at Kentucky to flip going into the draft

if enough congresspeople make a rule saying you can only have one transfer before you sit a year... and coaches are beholden to their contracts. we could have something

but good luck. lots of dudes are making a lot of passive income off of the labor of a loy of workers

I dont see that happening

It'll be a lot more fun to watch him at Kentucky than at Nebraska. There's always a couple SEC games where we pull for Kentucky to help us out and they always fall short.

Ironic that he entered the portal with a DO NOT CONTACT TAG. Commits to Nebraska.

Then flips in 24 hours supposedly not being able to be contacted.

Wild Wild West is here

I have it on good authority that he flipped from Nebraska to UK because of an easier schedule playing in the SEC than the B1G where it just means more.

One tough schedule, he just signed up for.
Good luck to the kid, I'll be rooting for him. As others have said, if he can pull off one upset to help our seeding for the playoffs that would be great for ND. lol
Have to imagine the Vegas line for Kentucky will be O/U 3.5 with heavy juice to the under.

Kenny did his time as loyal backup, especially this year when he really thought he had won the job, but lost out to a guy younger than him. He could have jump into the portal then but didn't. That's laudable to me and IMO not an indication of him being "a flipper". Will Stein is a hot OC right now and if he catches fire, even just on offense, this gamble will pay off huge for Kenny. Either way, I hope he kills it and will be rooting for him.

It’s his personal crusade w this argument. It’s his version of 08 and the DT (and changing players’ positions and wanting 2 way players), or he who shall not be named and Christian Gray.
He thought players are just not reporting NIL payments, it's got to a joke right....
