This makes me chuckleSomeone asked Loy they had heard some rumblings yesterday and he said he is looking into it.
Which is to say ND was one of 25 teams to “reach out”Looks like we made his top 25.
I’m surprised this isn’t turning into a bigger story about his reason for returning to A&M. His NIL deal with them essentially forced him to leave the portal as there was a stipulation in it that any additional earnings he makes in college outside his deal with their collective must be paid back to the collective. I don’t have the full details, but seems like an extra shady situation that we’re seeing more of these days
Not feeling any sympathy for anyone hereGood. It’ll burn some of these money hungry bitches. It’s like a sign in bonus for most public safety anymore. You get so much money but if you leave in a time frame you have to pay it back.

Blame the parents, family, agents etc.Don’t feel any sympathy for him but these are the shady deals these collectives are locking naive 17 year olds into. Promising them big money pay days, only giving them a fraction of it, and preventing them from maximizing their worth. These are the type of things I wish would become bigger stories because A&M is not alone in it.
Agreed but at the time there were plenty of articles sounding the warning bells and likely less shady schools recruiting him told him same. They chose not to listen. Now he is getting multiple educations at TAMU and probably none of them are gleaned from his pseudo online classesDon’t feel any sympathy for him but these are the shady deals these collectives are locking naive 17 year olds into. I wonder how these deals are worked out in the beginning for incoming freshmen. I’m no lawyer, but I know enough about contracts that in most (if not all) states, a contract with someone under the age of 18 can be considered unenforceable and therefore not legally binding. Do these collectives wait until the kid turns 18 before they make these deals? If not, it’s only a matter of time before it would blow up in their face.I’m surprised this isn’t turning into a bigger story about his reason for returning to A&M. Yeah, but if you "ratify" the contract after turning 18 (and that can include simply accepting the benefits of the contract) then it usually is enforceable after that, as far as I know. But the details vary by state and I wouldn't be surprised if Texas and New Jersey law is different on the point. So where the suit is filed would matter too, because that would affect which law would apply.I wonder how these deals are worked out in the beginning for incoming freshmen. Imaleava has a last name made for the transfer portal.Imaleava's NIL lawyer was vocal about deals like this in the ad that The Athletic wrote for him.

Not sure that would be enforceable. It seems the new school would have to want the kid pretty badly to agree to pay the old NIL and then pay the kid as well. What could be enforceable, is that the player has to repay out of his pocket some or a portion of monies he had received if it was given to him against future obligations. Where are our resident attorneys?I read a slightly different rumor in that the situation was that if he left and went to another school any money he’d get from his new schools NIL collective would have to be paid to TAMU’s collective
