I loaded up on jalapeños yesterday. I like to make my own hot sauce. I use mangos in it. Although, I was corrected once and told it’s technically salsa. But I purée it in the vitamix so it’s watery sort of like hot sauce. Not quite as watery as hot sauce, with a slightly thicker consistency, but pours out. But I don’t strain it. I water it down usually with vinegar. So, is this hot sauce or salsa? It’s pretty damn good. Everyone that tries it wants me to give them some. I use it on everything from tacos, to eggs, to dipping tortillas. I’m guessing this is salsa, but it’s sort of an in between. I’ve used a wide variety of hot peppers.
