Deion Sanders is a joke and Colorado won't be good I gurantee they don't sniff any college football playoff and in 2-3 years he will be running off to Florida State.
@Veritate Duce Progredi please note he spelled guarantee incorrectly.

Colorado won't be good and the result of that is FSU is going to hire Deion Sanders for not being good?

The Driskell one posted and essentially said it was NIL and depth of our RB/WR recruiting class that caused this. The Hillman commit might have been the straw that broke the camels back.

I realllllly doubt Colorado has much of an NIL. Colorado has to find the money somehow just to pay Deion's salary.

ND always a few steps behind. Spare me the “it happens to all the top tier programs” sure, but they are replaced with other top tier talent. Uh… bring on the 3* star project to replace him. Same shit, different year.

So it was communicated to Edwards from the ND staff that Hillman is going to play offense?

You realize Edwards was a 3* right?

Edit: I guess it depends on which site you look. Either way he was a low 4* or 3*.

So I get thumbs downed for saying Fuck him about a recruit who has never played a down yet people defend posters calling an actual ND player a bitch for wanting an opportunity to continue play college football while he still can. This board is schizophrenic.
Try calling someone an ungrateful midget and see the hate you get around here

Hate to see it.

Perhaps some silver lining for everyone...At least he'll be a thorn in USC's side next year (who knows about beyond that).

I refuse to sleep on a Prime Time coached team given that people are already praising his two coaching hires, plus the dude is going to land elite recruits. I think the opposite of NDFAN2008...I think Colorado will be good in the PAC. I agree that he'll end up at FSU sooner rather than later.

I mean, what did you want ND to do here? Promise him a starting spot? Give him a big cheque? All the other commits, and there are 26 of them, are quite content with what ND has to offer.

The RB room is fine. The WR room is fine. There's nothing we could do. We've filled the class with a lot of quality and top talent. One guy was going to look elsewhere.

ND is in a great position where they don't technically need to replace him. If they do, it's because of luxury, not necessity.

Saw that but it wasn't to bad and again that was an actual football player at ND not some recruit that just decomitted to go play for a dumpster fire of a program.

Mike Frank’s rant on Monday’s power hour is gonna be something else. He’s been banging the drum that we are going to see chaos with the last two weeks heading into early signing period.

This really sucks though as he’s absolutely electric and a different type of athlete than we currently have. Running back room is stocked though so we should survive but was excited to have him in the class.

Maybe MF & DM like what they have in the room already and like Love & Limar more? And there was a possibility they would lose one of the backs already at ND, or one of the recruits? They chose to be honest with Edwards, and he didn't like it.
That room would have been crowded. Edwards was a great prospect, but no one knows how his game from Kansas translates to big time football.

The RB room is just fine.

I haven't seen that stated anywhere as fact. I think this is more of the same from Driskell. He takes "plausible" storylines and just makes them up as fact.

It's been suggested that Hillman could have upside at RB. Pure athlete take, figure it out when he gets to South Bend, etc. But the expectation is that he winds up on defense.

1) Big loss in terms of talent. I really liked what he brought. But I will say that I saw him more as a slot receiver in college. I just don't think he was going to see much time at RB with Love and Limar in the fold. And now you have Kaleb Smith committed, who I think is going to be a dynamic slot receiver. That's a lot of competition. Whereas, at CU, he's THE guy.

2) This puts up a big red flag for me. As Dale mentioned, ND was just in to visit him, with banners up showing "committed" which ND felt comfortable posting. Then what? 48 hours later, he's gone? Clearly he didn't verbalize his intent to de-commit to the staff. Not a good look for him.

I'd rather lose Edwards, than Love & Limar. I know it seems like an easy statement to say now, but Love & Limar offer more. Edwards is extremely athletic and fast, but I did not see him as a full-time player. He would have been a gadget guy, and traditionally, those type of athletes have never really done much at ND.

He would have been great on special teams, though. However, there are about another six or seven guys in the class that were excellent returners in high school, and a few of them could be the same at ND. It speaks to how well-rounded of a class has been put together - that even losing a potential great returner is mitigated by the sheer amount of versatile athletes already in the class.
