On track for one of Northwestern’s best classes ever. Not sure how they’re doing it. 2021 was ugly and 2022 ain’t gonna look better IMO.

Think they’re just off to a hot start. They’ve been bringing in 2-3 4*’s a year. They already matched that, let’s see if they continue. Keep in mind TTech is the #2 class right now. Early quantity really boost those rankings.

For NW standards it’s going to be a damn good one.

I think you could also make the argument they could see more of these guys pick up 4 stars at other services which will improve the average class rating. Good football players on this list.

If we lose Barnes and Bowen, I would think we'd have to look at options beyond ESP. It'll be interesting to see who, if any, DB's don't sign during the ESP. Those could quickly become the most important targets on the board.

I'm not addressing Bowen. He has a thread of his own.

In this instance here, a lot of the on field and off field boxes seem to check. The academic schools were in, a lot of the Big Ten (Illinois in particular) and Tennessee. Looks good on the surface. Maybe a guy they could have offered sooner. Maybe not.

I believe MF² said they were using some bowl practice time as prep for next year, Walters (and others) may be waiting to see how the that goes.

one less safety in the '23 class may mean a better depth chart position and staying until he gets his degree.
