I’d argue more, since he will take more snaps than Sneed if both stay. On the other hand Sneed’s role is pretty impactful in a key part of the game

Senior Jaylen Sneed will return to Notre Dame for a fifth season. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound linebacker played in all 12 games this season, starting four, and recorded 35 tackles (5.0 for a loss), 3.0 sacks and a forced fumble. According to Pro Football Focus, he registered 12 quarterback pressures.

Given skill, experience, depth, and age. I think 2026 will be the best LB corp ND will ever field in my lifetime. Four legit NFL players who are all upper classmen plus somehow we held on to Ausberry.

Every bump at this point is a game of roulette to me. I'll admit my heart skips a beat for some, but obviously doesn't last long good or bad.

Really hope this dude has a break out year. Athletically speaking he definitely has it in him, it just all needs to click. He looks outstanding in practice on a fairly routine basis, it just needs to translate to the game days.

He may not have world class stats, but in my opinion, Sneed is a Notre Dame man. Things haven’t always been easy for him, but he never quit.

Yes, I agree I think he's very high on my list of players I want to see succeed right alongside Keeley and Cam Williams.

Glad he is coming back. Many players will be set up to succeed in 2026 and he is one of them.

Sneed could've taken the easy way out & entered the transfer portal. Kudos to him for sticking with his original commitment.
