No disrespect to Ian Book, but it’s weird seeing a QB throw the ball 40 yards without having to load up and take a big step forward. Angeli may not have elite physical traits, but his throwing motion is very “quiet” even when he’s throwing deep.

FWIW, I think Mr. Angeli is going to exceed many expectations with his QB play at ND. He appears to have excellent mental tools to go along with his physical abilities which will only continue to improve over the next couple of years.

I have to say (and this is without even looking at the recent practice clips)...and maybe there's an argument to be made and maybe there isn't...but Angeli reminds me Coan and Kizer type QBs. They fit the stereotypical mold, but they don't flash as much maybe when we first look at them, however perhaps they can be great in our system as we have the other pieces and we just need someone to stand in the pocket with a presence and deliver with a good arm and run tough when necessary.

If Coan thrives, I like this pick up more and more. That's all my kinda drunk ass will say.

That's ridiculous...ESPN has him at #125 overall. Not saying ESPN is good at the recruiting ranking thing, but Angeli can spin the ball and is closer to ESPN ranking than where Rivals and 247 have him. JMO
