Iowa is going to get blasted by OSU in the Big 10 title game. They would have lost by 2+ scores to PSU if Clifford didn't go down. Their offense is anemic.

Maybe, but taking out starting quarterbacks has kinda been their thing this year.

The Big Ten West is just an absolute joke when Northwestern isn’t in one of their over performing phases. And now Wisconsin is what they are

Pass protect + NFL WRs + Patience = Iowa D can be made human. Maryland had 1 and 2 but not 3 and Demus got hurt and it just unraveled. Clifford didn’t have 3 in the 1Q but you could tell he stopped forcing it and would just scramble she needed and they were marching on Iowa. If Stroud stays composed they’ll dice them up

I watched their entire game against Colorado State and they were very underwhelming. CSU was leading at the half and controlled the line of scrimmage. I think Iowa is benefiting for a very soft schedule and are getting credit for wins over teams that were highly overrated. Once they play a really good team, reality will set in for them.

Ferentz has a great formula. I would suggest if some haven’t to watch his pressers. Well spoken, and intelligent football coach. He knows what brand of football he wants to play and gets it done.

Iowa has struggled on offense to a degree but their defense is a playmaking unit. That will keep them in most games they play this year, IMO. Hope it doesn’t swing Nwanpka but I hope Iowa wins the BIG. Kirk deserves some ultimate success based on the loyalty he has shown that program(which has been reciprocated).

I've always liked and respected Ferentz. Iowa isn't a CFB destination. He has a formula and sticks with it, because he can't get the recruits needed to play any other way. That's not a knock on him, but rather a sign that he knows the limitations and built his formula to max what he can get.

You're right, Iowa isn't a destination for CFB. I will say, the HS talent is starting to get better and that is going to help. ND has come into the state for a few recruits lately.
