Is Baumann out of eligibility or ACLs?
He's a senior with a 5th and probably a medical 6th, but ND needs to move on wouldn't be surprised if he was one of the medical retirements

Eli and Cooper were both pushing and Evans above obviously.Likely was going to be the starter. ND & Starting TE usually fair well for your NFL future.
No chance. He would probably end up being 3rd string next year and 4th when Evans healthy. Cooper Flanagan is going to be a studLikely was going to be the starter. ND & Starting TE usually fair well for your NFL future.

Nana leaving makes no sense at all to me. Everyone else I can understand so farThis one and Nana hurt most IMO.

the point that was made was about 2024He didn't lose snaps after Evans injury.
ND essentially starts 2 TEs.
He got half the snaps this year than last year, per Jamie at ISD. He saw the writing on the wall.Nana leaving makes no sense at all to me. Everyone else I can understand so far
It's been reported that Nana wasn't invited back by the staffNana leaving makes no sense at all to me. Everyone else I can understand so far
Ahead of Evans or Raridon? I think at best 2b and could’ve been #3
yeah but you would think Nana would want to come back, hes a respected leader and a good culture guy. Michigan had 35-40 dudes like him on their roster this year and you can tell.He got half the snaps this year than last year, per Jamie at ISD. He saw the writing on the wall.
Yeah, as much as an asset he was this season, it was coming off the bench. I don’t think he was counted on as a starter for next season. Great kid & I hope he balls out as a starter somewhere. He got half the snaps this year than last year, per Jamie at ISD. He saw the writing on the wall.
Nana would want to come back in a bigger role sure, but at less than 10 snaps a game?yeah but you would think Nana would want to come back, hes a respected leader and a good culture guy. Michigan had 35-40 dudes like him on their roster this year and you can tell.
Thats interesting because he really seemed to be one of the emotional leaders of the team. It's been reported that Nana wasn't invited back by the staff
It might mean Nana was going to lose PT to younger guys, IDK.
I see both sides here, but we’ve had some bad injury luck with TE’s here over the past few years. Would think there would still be PT available moving forward.
Hell look at Brock Wright and Tommy Tremble as the #2 TE’s as their time at ND having good NFL careers.
Also, really starting to get worried about offensive player availability for the bowl game
Staes is not a good blocker (Cooper is far far superior)This is what bothers me with Staes. You could use him just like Tremble. Hell of a blocker and reward him with some catches every once in a while.
Yeah but no position room gets soft tissue injuries as much as the TE room lately. Raridon has had 2 ACLs, Baumann a broken leg & 2 ACLs, Staes was out w/ a shoulder injury so who knows if he needs surgery (well he’s gone now)Notre Dame was 5 deep at TE. Someone was bound to transfer. Good luck.
