Great job Whiskey! If anyone from the NCAA asks, that McDonald's bag was for 100 signed ND rookie cards.

His ND media promo for signing day mentioned his uncle playing in the NFL, any idea who that is? That's the first I've heard of an uncle.

Also said something about him setting a county record in the 40, don't know if there is any confirmation on that.

Spent some time searching for anything about an Uncle. The only thing I could find is this article about his older brother who was about to attend Arizona at the time and it mentions his Dad referring to his former NFL teammates as "uncles". Could be a nod to Dad's old teammates or it could be an actual uncle. Who knows.

Arizona is the original home of his parents. The younger Morrison also has at least five “uncles” in the area who are not of his blood but are forever bonded to his dad because of their Desert Swarm days. They include former Arizona offensive lineman Eric Johnson, linebacker Sean Harris, defensive lineman Ty Parten and defensive backs Brandon Sanders and Heath Bray. Most of his teammates and coaches while at Arizona will support his son.

“I told Samuel, ‘Listen, you’ll have 40-plus uncles cheering you on,” Darryl Morrison told me in a phone interview Tuesday night. “He really looks forward to them cheering him on. He values and appreciates their support.

I loved his swagger. Lights were bright and he showed the fuck up.
He came in for Hart after Hart got worked on OSU’s first touchdown drive -> immediately blew a coverage -> shook it off and then competed at a high level the rest of the game.

Felt bad for Mickey coming in for Bracy and getting left alone on an island for that TD on 3rd and 11. But I think we’ve got ~5 corners who are ready to compete this year, at least in zone coverage, which is a blessing.

Yep. Shame Bracy had to come out for the play…I’d feel a lot better blitzing both safeties with a 5th year Bracy in there.

And tbh everyone was upset with Golden dialing that up, but he was going to make Stroud deliver the ball on time to a receiver that doesn’t get many reps. Players make plays and Stroud delivered. In hindsight I think that was the play and rep that really loosened Stroud up.

Weird to feel optimistic about the CB position going forward.
Ben is a real pleasant surprise for me. I didn't expect him to be able to compete this early. It feels like we have 5 guys that we can put out there and at least hold their own this year. With Ben, Mickey, Gray and Bell, this unit can be strength moving forward in the coming years.

His first big pass breakup on a slant was exactly the kind of play I was imagining him making at ND! Eventually I was right about a player being underrated!!!
He's a got such a bright future.
