Like telling that hot girl who has little interest in you that you're not interested in her so she'll want to date you. lol

Yeah until she meets someone else right before the dance.

Makes you wonder even if he does sign if he will stay. He clear is not that amazed with ND

Tell him he doesn't have a spot.

Has this ever worked? Has any kid ever been told that and come back crawling and repentant?

Correct response is Irishize's; if you're not fully committed, we'll keep recruiting at the position. No hurt feelings, no burnt bridges.

(I actually suspect ND's already said that and that's why they're very publicly making a push for Dallas Turner.)

I've never wanted a kid to decommit, but the way his recruitment has gone I'd be OK if he decommitted.

He's still committed?

I'd immediately offer:

Patrick Hisatake
Josh McCarron
George Wilson
Eric Gentry

For now he re-affirmed his commitment to Elston, if that means anything. It sounds like he’ll keep that as status quo until he takes visits. At which point, when allowed, he’ll be visiting OU and Texas.

So then no, he's not committed. ESPN has it right.

I think he was actually removed as a commit on 247 for a short period of time, but he reached out and was adament that they continue to show him as a commit. Weird situation. Doesn't feel like it ends well for us. Especially if he can't make it back on campus.

His recruitment has been odd. I wonder what ND's plan B is if he does decommit. I sure hope he visits ND if he visits OU and Texas.

He's clearly hedging his bets. This isn't a Jerry Tilery situation.

Back to the good guys?

My gut says Texas. Some OU fans still think Abiara could commit to them later this month. Regardless, think it would be silly to consider him an ND commit, despite his desire to remain one on the sites/in the coaches eyes. We're still clearly recruiting him, just like we're still recruiting Colzie. I feel better about Abiara recommitting, if that means anything (it doesn't).

Shopping for edits with HayesFawcett.

Finally gonna go down.

Might be a committed DE on campus today, if so the analysts are covering for him.

I wonder if the staff will have his replacement ready or if that takes a bit.

From the various reports, I’m really unimpressed with how this kid has handled his recruitment.

The other tea leaf re: Abiara is that OU just missed out on Marcus Burris, meaning there's no longer any question of whether he'd be a take for them https://247sports.com/Player/Marcus-Burris-46050583/

My uninformed guess is the silent replacement could be Colin Mobley, since there was rumblings not long ago that he's not completely solid on the Trojans.

It'll be someone much less impressive.

It does suck, and I wish him the best, but not if he meets the Irish on the gridiron
