Don't worry, guys. If Spindler goes to Michigan there are plenty of tackles ND can snag who are considering Indiana, Missouri, and Iowa St.

Don't worry. I pulled it out of the closet, dusted it off and asked if we land Spindler.

Someone at Irish Breakdown is saying we will be getting a commit along with Rocco. They used a Top Gun GIF as the hint. I couldn't figure out who. Thoughts?

Jack Nickel and Butler are the next likely to pop our way. Butler said he'd commit in August unless it looks like visits are allowed in the fall. Obviously Spindler decided there won't be visits in the fall.

But what in the hell is Irish Breakdown? Never heard of it.

I'd say so. That was a pretty positive update for the Irish. I think the good guys get this one.

Have there been any pieces written by some of the other schools journalists? When I was looking at his tweets it seemed like he tags the ND guys more consistently than others.

Yea, UM's 247 for example pumps out some very positive pieces with regards to their recruitment of Rocco. However, if you were to look at his 247 profile, there are a lot more ND pieces there than UM. Don't know if that is just II recycling more info or because he's made himself more available to their recruiniks. He's also been very close with Freeman and ISD this whole time.

Freeman seems quietly confident so I'm rolling with him until that changes.

But he is announcing in front of his HS, that means advantage Michigan according to some. Why would a kid announce in front of HIS HS, if he is not going to pick said in state school?

Because it's his HS. It's where he played, got recognized and earned all of his offers. Besides, isn't the HS where most kids make their announcement? Maybe I'm missing something here, but I just don't see where announcing in front of his HS indicates one school over another.

I second this. Someone explain this new found logic?

Clarkston is a pretty affluent school. they'd have tons of kids going out of state/to private schools. Foster Loyer went there and his dad coaches there and he went to MSU for hoops and nobody cared he picked them over Michigan

lol you people are ridiculous. never said it 100% meant he was going to michigan. but in a 50/50 recruitment where we have too much time on our hands and try to look for any sign to indicate one side over another, it's not an absurd claim to make. i'd argue it's less ridiculous than claiming rocco tweeting that edit that ND made for him means he's going there. i seem to remember rocco tweeting a michigan edit not too long ago and people thought he had committed. recuits tend to post every edit the schools send them.

I should have used italics for the whole thing. That was my point, OF COURSE a kid is going to announce at this HS. What do some expect? Applebees?

You said that because he is announcing at this HS instead of the local 7/11 it means advantage Michigan. Might be the "Hottest Take" ever.

He should be announcing at the Clarkston Union and then will make his decision by eating a ND themed mac and cheese

If they don’t commit at the College Football Hall of Fame in SB, then they are going elsewhere.

Oh wait...

As long as he doesn't already own a set of ND golf clubs we should be good.
