Coaches' Visit

Brian Kelly & Jeff Quinn stopped by Good Counsel to see Tengwall last week. According to the GC coaches, it was a great visit. Apparently, Tengwall is planning a visit to South Bend this spring. ND is definitely in his top 5, likely his top 3.

I've said it many times on this board and it bears repeating. Get those boys that wrestled in HS, especially the linemen. Their footwork, balance, agility and ability to fight in closed spaces is typically a step up.

Yes, he is a sophomore and no, he did not reclass. He is 16 but he just turned 16 a few months ago. If he were a junior, he would be a very young junior, which is why he is a sophomore. Hard to believe he's that big and still can't legally get a driver's license

I wasn't thinking about reclassing. I was thinking more about K or 1st or 2nd grade. I guess he's another Shawn Kemp or LeBron James.

Ya, he benched 225 18 times the other day. The kid is a beast.

And most importantly he has a 3.5 GPA and is focusing on technic and agility/speed in the off season.

So he knows the important stuff.

I noticed he said "A lot of those guys will be gone when I'm there". He probably just meant if he goes there but I thought that was interesting because maybe deep down he already knows he's going to ND. I can hope anyway

I'll hope with you. I would rest comfortably knowing the tackle position will be taken care from 2022-2024/2025. I know it's presumptuous to think he could play as a frosh but he looks like that kind of player.
