Should be noted that Loy’s CB isn’t in relation to this announcement. He had that article ready to go, not knowing this was coming. Sounds like ND’s competition is GT. We’ll see what comes out in the coming weeks.

I'd be most worried about G Tech since the trend this year is for guys to commit early to the closest school.

Their football has been bad but a 2nd year coach can always claim that things will be different under him.

Christian at ISD saying he feels good about where ND stands.

You get Edwards into the fold and you got to feel really good about the DB/ATH board heading into the Summer and Fall. You still have space and some top targets on the board that you can spend a lot of time with.

Loy with the CB flip to GT. Unless I missed it, only ISD hasn’t capitulated yet and I assume they will soon.

Meh, mainly because I wasn't impressed. However, says quite a bit about the momentum in the class right now. Players have been choosing schools that ND typically doesn't have an issue beating. Covid does have an impact, but something more is going on besides that.

GT head coach doing a good job selling his program to the kids there that might typically leave Georgia for a bigger name school.

GT was honestly my first guess. I was surprised that everyone just defaulted to ND, though I know he had a lot of interest in ND as of late.

Usually once Sinclair throws in a CB it's over, but he was the first to throw one in for ND so I just thought it was a done deal. Guess things changed.

Could just be holding a spot at the local school until he can get out on visits and decide where he really wants to go. We have no idea what this COVID shutdown is doing to teenager's minds.

I had dinner with an FBS coach yesterday. He mentioned that if a recruit hasn’t visited a campus or even some that have only visited once. Consider them soft commits cause they’re just reserving spots. But there’s gonna massive decommitments and more recruits are gonna get dropped than ever before too by staffs. Rocco Spindler is one of the honest dudes who’s saying if he commits now he’s still gonna wanna take visits so how can he be committed if he still wants to experience other schools. It’s gonna be an interesting fall for sure.

GT's RB coach said... Hey Kaleb, if you come to Tech, you can have C'Bo's starting spot in the backfield and you don't have to play safety here, safeties don't get chicks. RB's do. And do you know how many chicks the star RB will get in Hotlanta? Neither do we but our math dept is trying to figure that out now. All we've gotten out of them so far is... big number, lots of zeros, lots of commas.

I'm bummed. Great 2 way player who could end up at any # of positions. I mean playing against that 6A/7A Metro ATL schedule he put up the following in 14 G and he wasn't even featured until injuries mounted for his team:

66 car ... 1150 yds ... 15 TD / 29 rec ... 566 yds ... 3 TD's. That's 17 ypc. 17

86 tkl ... 4 Int ... 10 PBU

I don't care how many 4.5+ star DB's or RB's you get each cycle, there's always room for a legit 2-way football player that did it in a major HS football market.

If we don't get him now, we'll get him as a grad transfer. You heard it here first.

How many safeties are we even after? We have Walters, Barnes is a candidate to eventually become a safety, and we lead for Titus Mokiao-Atimalala. Edwards is a nice player but he hardly was a must get.

Me too.

I'm with MIA in that we have to believe there will be a lot of shakeup and opportunity later in the cycle. But, in the event that things don't open back up and recruiting is largely the same...

The recruiting staff needs to revisit the current strategy. Its not lack of effort so I don't want to hear about that, as by all accounts say they were on him very aggressively and are with the top targets. But, something is not working.

I’ve tried to be positive, but our recruiting in really in the toilet. What happened with our star recruiter Blake!!! He doesn’t seem to be attracting recruits like I thought he would. I guess a recruit can only do so much. He’s still a great guy and tremendous OT recruit.

We need to get kids on campus. COVID is not helping.
