Latest intel on 2027 Top247's top 10 football prospects as five-star recruits near decisions

With so much buzz about the rising seniors, 247Sports national recruiting analyst Tom Loy delved into the latest on the top 10 players in the 2027 class.

Loy also mentions the 24th and says ND is doing a great job trending towards the top 5.

Yea, I thought so as well but I see it's now listed under offers on the site. I found that alarming that we weren't listed under offers the other day when I was thinking he was offered before that pic was posted of him and Jarrard.

Thoughts from the board if ND had a normal combination of hits and misses in the 2027 class and it ended up something like the following?...

QB: Keegan Croucher
RB: Kemon Spell
WR: Quenton Burrell
WR: Julius Jones
WR: Tyler Fryman
TE: Seneca Driver
TE: Jaxon Dollar
OL: James Halter
OL: Layton Von Brandt
OL: Cameron Wagner
OL: Jake Hildebrand
DE: Marcus Fakatou
DE: Chris Whitehead
DE: Jayce Brewer
DT: Brayden Parks
DT: Richie Flanigan
LB: Kaden Henderson
LB: Amarri Irvin
LB: Ellis McGaskin

The crazy part is that while 5-7 of the names will probably wind up being different from what I have listed here, landing a class of roughly this quality doesn't seem completely out of the picture. That said, that class would consist of 24 composite 5 star and 4 star players, which seems highly unlikely. So maybe a little bit exaggerated, but it does not seem far off of what's possible with Freeman at the helm, in an era when ND can offer competitive rev share and NIL to incoming freshman.

That would be a very good class but very contingent on about 5-6 commits (Spell, Burrell, LVB, Whitehead, Henderson, Fakatou) missing on a couple of those with lower rated recruits could change that trajectory.

Agreed , I haven’t seen too much suggestion that we are the likely landing spot for any of those 6 except Fakatou and possibly Burrell

Don't see Marcus Fakatou staying a DE, the kid already 6'6 290. I see him as a DT-3T.

Jayce Brewer is more likely than not to also end up a DT but what I don't see is true DE. A hybrid DE-DT or an out an out DT.

Saw a blurb about Jamier Brown from Wiltfong and Singer, he is "seeing the process out", ND still pushing hard. Singer also just tweeted a quote about Julius Jones, ND in a good spot there per Singer. Sorry can't link the tweets at the moment
