ISD put out their weekly Intel report out today instead of Friday, tone is similarly positive......

I am ready to be hurt again.

Last summer still lingers for me. If they learned from that and land most of them, then I think it was a lesson worth learning.

Why a player like Ian Premer would want to waste his time at one of the Kansas or Iowa schools baffles me. Imagine turning on the TV on Saturday at noon just to watch the Hawkeyes score 9 points at home and be like “Hell yeah brother I want to play there!”.

Same thing goes for Linkon Cure.

I don't think you can lump in Kansas with Iowa lmao. I think the dudes who play football on Sundays would be enough to get a top 3 TE at Iowa every single cycle

I kind of get K-State. Kleinman has them solidly positioned as a decent program over the last 4-5 years. I can see the draw, especially for an in state kid.

Why is Iowa a surprise? It's a big TE school?

Premer and Cure going to the Big 12 is good for a continued level playing field in CFB. I just can’t see what they’d be offering that Notre Dame isn’t.

If you went to Iowa St or KSU 10 years ago, you weren’t getting paid, no championship shot, but got the ball a lot.

Now you can get paid, reasonably dream of a CFP appearance at least, and still get the ball a lot.

Iowa (and most of the B1G West) should be scared that these Big 12 schools can dangle CFP appearance now that OU and Texas are gone. KSU in particular also has zero NIL issues

And Notre Dame is a big OL school, maybe the biggest. But they often don’t get the top OL.

But with Iowa’s offense right now, I don’t know if any of their players on offense are draftable.

They had 4 drafted this year.

I respect his loyalty to the local program; kid could be the reason the team wins an extra game or two

Some kids just want to stay close to home. Christian and Mike from ISD have been told that Premer won't leave the state. We'll see if that turns out to be the case. I suspect it is, but I certainly hope it isn't.

Terry Walker III from Fishers, IN will be an interesting guy to monitor going into the fall.

a PSU/ND rivalry to replace USC, would be sweet. And works out for both parties. No one afraid to play in the cold, both would be looking for main rivals, James Franklin sucks...
Completely agree. USC rival is more patently than hatred and due to proximity and level of competition, PSU would be fun to hate. And we are well positioned to recruit over PSU and there's a lot of talent in the north east. Love this idea.

I agree. If we get the 4 Fs it is a B. Not a huge fan of Fitz or Faison. I dont think Robinson elevates that though. Would rather snag a guy later (bigger x type)
Robinson is a game breaker, and has shown it against the best level of competition at the Prep level. His biggest detriment is his size but he's facing P4 DBs every week and destroying them. He's much better than both of those guys right now and I know we've been taking these NFL kids recently but we're not getting the blue chip kids (Henry, Surtain, Taylor etc) so I don't get caught up in a kids last name as much as his last game.

A 5th receiver seems like a lot. That would make 11 Freshman/Sophomore eligibility guys next year. I'd go portal one more time if they develop a need. Portal WR's are always plentiful.

Not if your going after a game breaker type player....We don't have many on the roster with that potential aside from Cam Williams, Scrap (a newbie at the position), Saldate (perhaps)...That group only has one Stud prep WR in it, one who never played the position, another who probably never will for us, a nice boundary prospect and a slot. Hmmm

Agreed, I always liked how KSU utilized getting the ball to their playmakers going back to Bishop, and ISU has had a couple of solid years.
