"Georgia, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Washington, Alabama -- those are the schools I talk to the most right now," Fort said. "Also Michigan, Florida."

He will be at Junior Day January 25th. Shaping up to be a very big weekend.

Keep striving for excellence and dont lay off the gas in recruiting, don't be content with an excellent season. We saw what happened to scUM this year after winning the title. Luckily for them they finished the season on a high note but more importantly the way they attacked recruiting/portal with vengeance in response.

Did we lose traction with Womack already?? He was big on us early but heard rumblings on the academic side of things.

Same thing I heard a while back and haven't heard any thing different since... but I don't follow him at all since those reports so I don't have anything educated to add.

Wow, sometimes seem we can't win for losing with some of these guys but yet i'll see Stanford on the lists with some. Odd

I had read he had work to do in the classroom and that was unlikely to happen. Also, when the Deuce pulled out early choosing Auburn, that was an additional factor.

Is this the class that our current success should pay off with?
I doubt it I don’t see a ton of momentum with this class. At the end of the day if we aren’t paying players to come in then we aren’t landing the top guys.

Yeah until Oregon, Bama, Michigan, Ohio State, Auburn, Georgia come along and pay millions. I hope we can land some elite difference makers

I agree that this will be a factor with some, but I believe some players that don’t normally come to Notre Dame will want to play for the staff.

Outstanding Irish Invasion TE Gavin Mueller discusses Notre Dame football recruiting journey

The guy hasn't even played high school football, but already has offers - first from Marshall (on May 1), followed by Cincinnati, Indiana, Minnesota and Purdue. From the article, he played football his whole life but decided to focus on basketball only once entering high school.

He's definitely an intriguing prospect. He moves really well for a 6'6 guy. Likely a name to watch.

It will be interesting to see how the 2026 class shapes up. Whether they win the Natty this is the first time the program to point to big wins instead of selling recruits on the idea they can do it.
