I've always felt that you can win with Steve because he doesn't make dumb mistakes, but you aren't going to win because of him making plays. If teams can win with Craig Krenzel, Ken Dorsey, and Stetson Bennett, you can win with Steve Angeli. But you really need to stack talent around him, and the teams that can do that are few and far between.

I dont think you can win with a QB who has zero pocket awareness.

That was a really dumb play on 3rd down. Keeps rolling to his right and dragging the defense with him before flipping it last second. If he hits the guy in the flat before rolling out, he had openings to run through that closed because of the rollout.

Yeah, I don't think it's possible to stack the amount of talent needed to win championships with guys like that anymore with the transfer portal and NIL. Dorsey was also a level above those other guys. The days of winning titles with Stetson Bennett and AJ McCarron are over IMO

And? Gino Toretta won it. Being the QB on the best team is often enough to get votes because you end up putting up ridiculous numbers. You saw what he actually was when he got to the NFL and other teams had similar talent.

Only scoring drive was helped by 2 penalties for 25 yards and one that kept the drive alive. Both QBs look average but it could be the defenses are just really good… also week 1.

I mean pretty standard for first game of the year. Sayin has been solid, doing what hes supposed to do. Arch has been stinky. Think both defenses will be pretty good this year. I know nothing about OSUs corners and it doesn't seem like UT has tested them much so far
