I honestly don't understand the fear of all these teams losing to inferior teams.... The Irish are ranked by the committee at nine for a reason. All the Irish need to worry about is playing to their full potential tonight and take down Stanford as they did Syracuse. How does a 9th ranked team fall four spots if they win - away at Stanford, finishing their season with 10 wins in a row? The thought of relying on 'other teams demise' shouldn't have to be a worry IMO.

Its not 4 teams. It's 2 or 3 teams, isn't it? G5 gets in regardless. ACC autobid that Miami isnt getting probably

I just don't understand why people thought there would be upsets this weekend that would help us. Pitt and Mississippi State are not good. LSU is not all that good and they're banged up, they're not going on the road and winning in Norman. Auburn isn't beating Alabama. Washington is a fraudulent team who has lost to almost every team on their schedule with a pulse, they're not beating Oregon.
A&M getting their shit pushed in is what got me worried. Before that, the upsets favoring us seemed like nice to haves but not necessary. Now I generally have no idea what the committee will do.

It's safe to say nothing has gone in our favor so far which is not cool. What's clear is we should have destroyed both A&M and Miami, which is on us. So let's focus on the privilege of kicking Stanford's ass. Make it pleasurable. Take nothing for granted.

Right. That was the one upset that happened and the one we didn't want.

It’s only two spots.
Two of BYU, Bama, and Miami jump us and it’s over. (Obviously no one above us losing as well).

That is why people are understandably nervous with Miami kicking narduzzis ass.

If Miami was going to jump us, it would've happened already.

BYU isn't jumping us for sure, especially after this complete and utter embarrassing display they're showing.

Michigan losing needed to happen. So we have that going for us.

It's remarkable how Pitt is the most undisciplined team and refs call around 9 penalties on them a game.

But against us, they are almost never called for anything.

Michigan losing was the most important result of this window and we got it. The biggest outcomes for the rest of the day are either Wake and VT both win and put Miami in the ACC championship or Auburn wins and creates a better buffer for BYU beating Tech or them deciding Miami suddenly jumps ND for reasons.

Washington beating Oregon would be cool

Well weekend couldn’t be going worse so far unless you think Michigan stood a chance. Take care of business tonight, no injuries, and see how things go.
